Still Alive

No I'm not dead. I've just stopped writing in the Blog.
The main reasons for my retirement is that (1) I don't think people are reading and (2) I no longer have any intrest in remembering exactly what I thought about my past game-experiences.
I will however keep record of how many games I've beaten and how many I own, which I will put in the blog description.

That is all :)

Cleared Dante's Inferno

Recieved Dante's Inferno Death Edition yesterday and cleared in later that night. It's nothing like the reviewers made you expect from this game, it's so much better! Yes, the mechanics are completely ripped off from God Of War, but they work so why not? And the environments are spectacular, the main reason to play the game really...

I just loved it. It was a bit tedious during the eight circle I'll admit, but it feltrather like an extra challange, like some levelsin Devil May Cry for example.

Cleared Resistance 2

Resistance 2 was the best shooter experience I've had so far. Awesome graphics and gameplay, it kept all the good stuff from the first game and made lots of improvements too. The action was way more intense and the story was more engaging. ONLY complaint is that there is no offline competitive multiplayer. What's up with that?

Cleared Resistance: Fall Of Man

Finally finished Resistance: Fall Of Man today. It was a good game, nice shooting and a sufficiently engaging story. Satisfying ending. Maybe a little repetetive environments and slightly dated graphics (it is one of PS3s launch-titles), but hopefully number 2 takes care of that. I'm glad I played through Resistance 1 before going at Resistance 2 though.

Enough said. Gonna play the sequel now.

Cleared inFamous & Bought some new stuff

Got inFamous for christmas and cleared it in 2 days. Do I need tosay that I loved it? :P

Well I did, and in case you're intrested I played as Hero during my first playthrough. Just began a new one where I'm going for Evil. I think the twist at the end was kind of cheesy, but the game totally pulled it off and it was a great build-up for a second game (which I really hope is going to happen).

The "new stuff" mentioned in the title, is a few games that came as a package on the swedish equivalent of Ebay (called Tradera). I got it very cheap and it included the following PS3 titles: Resistance 1 & 2, Motorstorm and Splinter Cell: Double Agent (played double agent on GC and it was pretty bad, maybe this version is better).

Bought Battlefield 1943

Bought the online shooter Battlefield 1943 off the Playstation Network.

It's really cheap now that it's christmas time :) and totally worth the money. I got tired of playing Bad Company a few months ago, but this is really a change of pace. It brings back memories from the early Battlefield games (BF 1942, especially). The gameplay is much easier to jump into without further thought (as opposed to bad company where there were lots of weapons, classes and spawnpoints to choose from before the action started). The spawntime is also much shorter and because there's no individual weapon upgrades, the only advantage a player has over another is pure skill (the ranks are still there of course). Even if upgrading was awesome in Bad Company, it works much better without in this game. The terms are equal, so to speak.

Kind of a bummer that there's only three maps, but maybe expansions will come. Anyway, there's always the Dogfight map to insert some extra variety. Once you get a grip on the flying controls it's a great deal of fun.

Assassin's Creed 2 Cleared

Bought the White Edition of Assassin's Creed 2 this Thursday and just finished it a few hours ago...

When I started playing I was very sceptical towards the new storyline and setting, but in the end the overall experience was very satisfying. The ending was better than the last one, although still pretty confusing (less so if you manage to gather all the hidden video files, aka "the truth", scattered across the game).

I'm not gonna say too much about this game, other than that it's awesome and everyone who liked the first one should buy this as well.

Batman: Arkham Asylum Cleared

Been playing this game in a few, intense sittings over the last week and I am glad to say it was very very good. It had a great, original yet true-to-the-series plot and featured characters and environments that had the same dark, gothic feel I would expect to find in the Batman Universe. Gameplay was great and didn't get old before it was over. I especially enjoyed the parts when you are locked in a room with a handful of bad guys and need to take all of them out as silently as possible, with all of batman's known gadgets at your disposal while doing so. These areas can later be replayed in the challange-mode, for which I am very grateful :)

It is true what they say. This is the greatest superhero-game of all time! ^^
