Mine (along with their directors) are:

1. Pulp Fiction (Quentin Tarantino)
2. The Godfather (Francis Ford Coppola)
3. The Shawshank Redemption (Frank Darabont)
4. Saving Private Ryan (Steven Spielberg)
5. Seven Samurai (Akira Kurosawa)
6. The Shining (Stanley Kubrick)
7. Taxi Driver (Martin Scorsese)
8. Forrest Gump (Robert Zemekis)
9. Scarface (Brian De Palma
10. Fargo (The Coen Brothers)

I had a really tough time determining this list and I tried to diversify it was much as possible, limiting myself to only what I considered the best work by the listed directors. If you haven't seen any of these movies ... or better yet most of the movies made by each director, do yourself a favor and view them all immediately!
Please share you top ten in this thread

Personally I love a challenging game if its hard for the right reasons. X-Box's Ninja Gaiden and Halo (1 & 2) or PS2's Metal Gear Solid games are good examples of this. They're tough because the AI is clever, the level designs are well done, and the gameplay is highly nuanced. They're tight games that, as hard as they are, you could conceivably play through without getting hurt a single time if you perfectly mastered the games. That's the main reason these are considered some of the greatest games of their time. Most puzzles games could also fit this criteria. However, for any game on any console that's good because its hard, there are a dozen games that suck because they're hard due to poor programming. Ever since I learned how to program I've noticed flaws in video games that are due solely to oversights of the developers and/or a lack of thorough alpha testing. So don't feel bad if you're doing poorly, its not due to your age! I play Counter-Strike:Source on a very competitive server and just about all the bad ass players are at least 18 and usually quite a few years older than that, some of them as old as 45.

"Hello, welcome to the AGU, where the conversation in [sic] slow, but the grammer is remarkable :P" hehe that's pretty funny. My name is Ryan and I'm a 20 year old hardcore gamer. I've been playing games since '91 so that's going on 16 years already. I go to college in New York (state of my conception/birth), but spend my holidays in Houston, TX with my family. The game I play the most nowadays is Counter Strike Source, and basically exclusively on a single 24/7 Office server. Besides CSS I love the FF, MGS, and GTA series but there are hundreds of games that I've played throughout my lifetime. Madden is the only sports game I'm into and as far as puzzle games I have tetris on my cell phone (which is remarkably valuable sometimes) and that's about it. Being that I'm 1500 miles away from my gaming rig for a few weeks I've been focusing on my oft-neglected PSP which has had some surprisingly good games this year, and I'm also working on Valkryie Profile 2 and Okami. Besides games I'm a bit of a party animal, I love watching movies (I try to veer away from the PG-13 drivel fed to the masses), and bowling is my favorite sport because its the only one where being drunk isn't necessarily a handicap.
