*sigh* You say Macs and Linux can't play Windows games? I'm pretty sure I said this in my first post in this topic, but people seemed to have missed this part: Cedega will allow games for Windows to be played on macs and Linux. http://www.transgaming.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=2&meid=-1 Wine will get all those Windows only programs running on Linux. http://www.winehq.com/ Do I like macs? They're fine. But why not use Linux (specifically Ubuntu)? It offers the best of both worlds. It's free. It has a great community to help you with any questions. A tonne of free programs available for it. Xgl and Compiz make Vista look like a poor man's PC. Linux doesn't require so much ram and doesn't need an awesome computer to run well (even with Xgl and compiz, which actually reduces strain on the Cpu). It's highly customizable. The only thing is that I'm not sure how well Cedega will support DX10 games for all those hardcore gamers out there (time will tell). Which is why I previously suggested a dual boot of Linux Ubuntu and Windows Vista. You guys owe it to yourselves to give Linux Ubuntu a try.

OSX and Linux users can play games and use Windows applications using Cedega and Wine (respectively). Games like Quake 4 and programs like Maya actually now have support for Linux too. So if more and more devs follow their footsteps, it would be great for the Linux community. Also, for Linux users: http://youtube.com/watch?v=-CgqWlX_GsI and this: http://www.ehomeupgrade.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2915 Can you say Vista who? Lol. Linux can do it with a lot less ram as well. What's Vista's minimum requirements again? 512MB of ram? -__- And potential Vista owners, you may want to check this out first: http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=25124 Ya, I know, that sucks hardcore. DRM FTL... If anyone is thinking about Linux, try Ubuntu. Remember, Linux is 100% free and always will be. You really have nothing to lose by trying out Linux especially since many (if not all) distros (distributions) come with LiveCD's so you can try out the OS without actually installing anything. You could also do a dual boot and have Linux and Windows running on the same machine. If you're a hardcore PC gamer though, you're probably stuck with Vista, which is a shame... Edit: And the security you get from Linux is fantastic. Same with Mac. No worries of Viruses and whatnot.
