Trump is not blaming video games for the mass shooting. He is saying that video games are violent which is true.

We all know that studies show there is no link between video games and people committing violent crimes. This is no different than growing up with Looney Tunes as a kid. I never felt like smashing someone in the head with a hammer because of cartoons. This is also true about violent movies.

So the issue here is not what people do for entertainment but a mental health issue.

CBS stats on mass shootings in the US is false. They count any shooting involving 2 to 3 people which includes gang violence so please be careful when sitting incorrect numbers without the source of the study.

Bottom line is that we need to do more to help people with mental health issues.

Gun laws are only followed by law abiding citizens and ignored by criminals or people with mental health issues. We already have plenty of gun laws that are followed by millions of Americans but those laws will do nothing to stop a criminal.
