Yeah, I finally got a Wii on Sunday. Good news. I went to a nearby Target at six in the morning, and they gave out tickets at seven...Might I add I was first in line for about 20 people. They had everything there on Sunday. Wiis, PS3s (no one came for a PS3, I laughed), DS Lites. I got the Wii, Zelda, and an extra controller and nunchuk. I'm not going to write all my first impressions because A) There's too much B) I don't want to, and C) Most of you have played or own a Wii...and whose reading this blog anyways?
I first tried Wii Sports to get used to the controller, which is smaller than I expected, but it's perfect. People think Wii Sports is useless cause its free and comes with the system. Not true. I haven't had this much fun playing a video game with my dad since I tried teaching him how to play Fuzion Frenzy...what waste of time that was. He kicks my ass in bowling. I kick his ass in everything else, its better this way, I promise.
Zelda is...pretty sweet. I just beat the forest temple, not too difficult. The storyline is pretty good but a little strange and random. It seems like Link was chosen as the Hero by meer coincidence. The controls are...different...obviously. They're hard to get used to, but once you do, they're intuative.
The only issue with the Wii that I have realized is that I can no longer lay back...and just chill out and play a video game. What I mean by this is, if I have a long day of school, and just want to relax and play a game, that can't happen. Whenever I play a Wii game, there's movement involved.
So yeah, thats a longer impression than I thought I was gonna do. But I got the Wii at a perfect time. I'm sending my 360 Power Brick to Micrsoft to get a new one because for the past 7 months it makes an extremely loud sound that I used to be able to tune out and play a game. But it got on my last nerve, and my warranty expires the 26th so I needed to do it now. Alright then...later.
Edit: And I forgot to mention, doesn't really apply to anything, but I have a Snow Day today...nice.
