I really hope that the next gen is not coming anytime soon (other than maybe for Nintendo who is still not really in the current gen). If we see a PS4/720 in 1-2 years then I'll be pretty annoyed to say the least.
It will only be of major interest to me if I end up getting a PS3 and then decide to get a PS4 still. Regardless, it's definitely a feature I appreciate.
Doubt it's too late. Relatively 'cheap' glassless experience for 3d sounds pretty promising and I'm pretty sure I'll pick it up eventually if it proves itself. Not a huge fan of handheld gaming anymore, really, though. Definitely not getting it for launch though; want to see how the entire competition plays out and where most of the good games go though unlike in the consoles, Nintendo seems to endlessly dominate the handhelds with game variety and quality.
