Too bad a video about NBA Jam in the name of fun and comedy stirs the masses into a political free for all in the comment threads. Great video :) Keep em coming.
@TomMcShea You mention that this is a lengthy adventure. About how long did it take you to complete?
The combat system as you mentioned doesn't seem to be able to hold attention for too long. Do you think that the game (Cutscenes aside) is too long of an experience and could have benefited from being shorter? This game looked interesting to me, but if the combat is really as shallow as it appears, I don't know if it will be quite my cup of tea.
I think there is a time and place for paid/free dlc. While I obviously appreciate free stuff, it does cost developers time and money to add on to a game once they've released it... That said, adding free dlc to a game could excite people again for a game once it has been on the market for a while.
I think that the day 1 dlc for extra characters in challenge maps (or heck even Catwoman) in Arkham city was kidna janky and exploitative. However, I am completely willing to pay for the new Skyrim Dawnguard DLC once it appears on PC.
It is interesting to hear the perspective of a developer though.
@megadeth1117 I don't appreciate the hate. I don't see anything wrong with EA trying to make bank. I work in a profitable business... Making money is the goal. I just find it funny when EA tries to hide their intentions behind "make people happy" speeches. As a company they don't really care that 38 is gone now. They just want someone else to pick up the reigns and bring in the money.
I agree with @Deadly_Nemesis ... While I agree that it would be awesome to see a sequel, I'm assuming EA is coming from the perspective of, "We have a potential cash cow here and will be willing to take some of that money"
I realize I'll probably get hate for saying this but... Why are we considering it such major travesty when this industry is full or more men then women. I don't have a problem with women working in gaming, but maybe it just turns out that more women have other career interests. Women should be able to pursue what careers they wish to pursue without any type of stigma... We can't entice women to join any career field, just let them choose to work where they will. Demanding that we get more women involved is just as sexist imho as demanding they CAN'T be involved...
