With the publication in the last few hours of Medal of Honor in the United States, Sony has set aside the rules of pirate PDJailbreak blocking code with firmware 3.42. Copies of "backup" of the game are circulating on the net, but at present the title is unusable in this way.

Sony's answer to PSJailbreak was subdued but effective. A week away from the arrival of open source PSGroove, the manufacturer of PlayStation 3 has released firmware 3.42, thereby preventing use of pirated games.

The PS3 firmware 3.50 freezes further with what all'apprenza is a list of compatible USB devices with the system. The unapproved devices were rendered unusable, and this has created some problems with some third party devices.

As for the duplication of physical disks appear longer times and titles such as Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Enslaved: Odyssey to the West are still vulnerable to PSJailbreak. However, with Sony Medal of Honor has shown willingness to fight piracy in any way.

Although this is a minor update, the 3.42 apparently includes a decryption key is absent in previous versions. Medal of Honor and all future games will be encrypted with the new key, and this means that PSJailbreak in its current form is unusable: the firmware is based on code Jailbreak can not read.

It is unclear whether this code can be implemented on PSJailbreak. For its part, Sony is hoping that the new measures help to ensure a Christmas proof of piracy and the various Gran Turismo 5 and Call of Duty: Black Ops at the doors it is crucial to this goal.
