The Behemoth has just announced the closed beta dates for their current game in development, Pit People! The Pit People Xbox One Closed Beta will take place September 8, 2016 through September 15, 2016.
In this fast-paced, turn-based, co-op adventure players will quest and explore, find awesome loot, customize fighters, and recruit strange species! Pit People is a strategic game of positioning with single player story mode, two player co-op story mode, and up to four players for 2v2 in the Arena.
Sign-ups for the beta are available at the game’s official website.
Emails will be sent to selected beta testers starting August 25, 2016 and beta codes will be sent out on September 8th.

3D adventure platformer/simulation Ginger: Beyond the Crystal, developed by Drakhar Studio and published by BadLand Games will be released this summer on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. A retail release is planned for select territories.
Story:
A world destroyed by a crystal explosion, a mysterious threat hanging over its inhabitants, and a goddess who created a hero...this is Beyond the Crystal. Multiplatform game developer 10tons Ltd. announced today the cult classic physics based puzzle game King Oddball is launching on Xbox One via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program on 9th of September. The game will launch on Steam PC game distribution service on the same day.

King Oddball is a physics based puzzle game with a big emphasis on the puzzle aspects and player skill. The player, as the titular King Oddball, must clear each level of enemies such as tanks, helicopters and soldiers. Enemies are destroyed by hurling large boulders at them, and making sure each boulder crushes more than one enemy. The boulders are swung at the tip of King Oddball’s enormously long tongue, which swings back and forth in a pendulum like motion. The player must simply press a button to release the boulder. Finding hidden moustaches also features.

The game has had a tremendous amount of good press when it released on PC and iOS last year, but it took quite a while to upgrade the graphics and adapt the UI to the console systems. The whole concept of brining a deep PC strategy game is not easy to translate into practice. Ease-of-use and accessibility are key to the console players to enjoy games, but we made it!
We really wanted to try and take a deep strategy game to console players and see what happens. Star Hammer is only the first foray into this mid-term experiment we are conducting. We have selected the releases that are easy enough to port (both technically and gameplay wise) and of course the ones with the right look and feel.
It’s a game of 3D tactical space battles where players take part in the Second Contact War in a campaign with a branching story and over 60 missions. The game also allows to create own scenarios in skirmish mode battles.
Orders are given during pause times of a perfectly balanced WEGO system, then players watch the results unfold in explosive pausable real-time. There’s a pretty extensive arsenal of crew abilities and assault class ships.
Fleets grow as the game progresses through strategic and tactical battles where players exploit the enemy’s weaknesses with superior positioning and flanking manoeuvres to inflict devastating damage.
