Which is better dlc or optical disc?

Have you ever come across a game & thought to yourself, "It's good but Id only get it if it were a dlc"... well I have and I can't understand why. They're many games that I've played and would admittedly like to own but, they generally tend to be the games of which most of my friends wouldn't approve. Games that aren't FIFA or don't involve shooting people and copious amounts of blood. Such a game that I recently came across was Modnation Racers. I've actually played it and it's undeniably entertaining. Heck I'll be so bold as to call it fun. And yet I didn't purchase it. I think in my minds eye certain games have more value as dlcs than discs. Examples would be party games like Singstar or Rock Band, fighting games like Street Fighter or Tekken 6, arcade racers like Blur. All these games are enjoyable but I just keep thinking, is it's file size so big that my high speed unlimited cap just couldn't allow it to be downloaded? Although my argument goes on the assumption that we're all blessed with such connectivity freedom, I think we should have the option: cd or dlc. I mean if it can be done with Burnout Paradise why not others?

twenty ten!!!!

The new decade of the 21st century, who would've thought we'd still be around (touch wood lol). Well these 6 months have been the best; definately made up for the crap 4 years I've had. I've got everything I've ever wanted and more is still to come. 1st year of university and the year of GT5..I'm so excited!!!!!I'm unhappy to admit that I've been neglecting my love (Nintendo DS). Mainly because I've finished the few games in my arsenal, but after a year of waiting I've finally purchased GTA: Chinatown Wars!!!!! Ecstacy is not enough to define my happiness. Neither the purchase nor the brilliant story & gameplay are the only reasons for my excitement, but the fact that I'm finally able to get what I want when I want. A saying comes to mind, "People who say money can't buy happiness, dunno where to shop". To whomever said those words.... HELL YA!!!! Let's just say my departure to the Mother City has given me quite a bit of financial freedom ;). My plans are plentiful for the upcoming holidays; if only I didn't have to stay with my dad........More to come soon :)
