"Baldur's Gate 3 isn't done yet, and that's okay." - Well judging by your review score and listed negatives...no it isn't.
I really don't understand why there's an actual review score for an EA game, as others have stated. If anything, make it an "impressions" article and point out good and bad and critique it that way. Don't actually review it like it's a final product deserving of scrutiny as such.
Looks like my putting off of a home theater PC/RasPi with Kodi, just came to an end. I've been using Netflix less and less recently, so the fact that they're bumping the price up AGAIN for no good reason is just too much.
This sounds like a typical example of a studio confusing the cause of loss of players with lack of content, instead of unfulfilling gameplay.
Adding more stuff to do in a game with lackluster...everything, isn't going to do much more than band-aid the problem. Fix your core system first. THEN add more stuff.
Based on all the feedback, comments and discussion about the beta, and more recently the very short window for the pre-patch, this is a good thing. Sure it sucks ass if you asked for time off from work or dropped money on re-upping your sub for no reason now (pre-patch not really being a big enough reason to do so imo), but overall, this is a good thing. Shadowlands needs SO much more polish it isn't even funny.
Lets just hope that Blizzard actually listens to the people that know what they're talking about (no, not the elitist 1%) and taking feedback to heart and fixing the nonsense, arbitrary time gated BS (conduit lockout for instance) and make it more like what it's suppose to be...fun! It is a game ffs.
@nilsdoen: What are you talking about? A simple "gut reaction" isn't the opposite to instant complaints about lack of diversity. And then you jump straight into personal insults regarding intelligence because you don't like a stance someone has on a topic?
If the first thing a person thinks of is how a particular demographic, gender or orientation of person is missing from a promotional item, that says a lot more about the person than the product.
I've enjoyed the game well enough since its launch, even though it admittedly lacked most of what was showcased or promised in the original launch trailer. But it just really impresses me how much they've changed, added, upgraded and polished the game over the years.
But there was always something they missed with each update, the way the planets look and feel. It all looked, felt and acted all so, samey. So i'm hoping that Origins will fix that. Because if the trailer is anything to go by, this just might be the update that I want.
