label me confused and unsure. The same thing happened with the Castlevania review, only in reverse. IGN ripped that game apart and gave it a 4.7 and Gamespot gave the game a semi respectable 7.0. And now Luigi Mansion is a stellar 9.3 on IGN and a lowly 6.4 on GS.

I dont have a lot of money to throw around. I rely on reviews to make a purchase. Now i have to make a risky decision on wether i pick this game up this morning or not. I have it pre-ordered and paid in full, but i could put that money toward a better game in the near future.

I did not buy Castlevania because of reviews, and now maybe skip Luigis Mansion. I waited a year for these games only to be fully disappointed. WTF?

I just really don't understand how the rest of the GS staff felt this review was okay and would really love to hear an opinion from them.

Hi everyone.  I know that there is space under every review for us to comment, but I felt that this review requires a lengthier discussion.

The current Metacritic score for Luigi's Mansion is 85, yet the Gamespot review score (here) is 6.5/10.

Now, I haven't played the game and I understand that everyone has different opinions...However, I feel that this review is unusually harsh toward the game, in that it's primary complaint is that the game is too difficult.  Why is difficulty playing such a large factor in the overall score?  It really disappoints me that Gamespot would let a review like this go out.

Thoughts?

I had a fat for some time, but it died on me. The slim always looked way better imo.

When I first saw pictures of the super slim, I thought it was the ugliest and cheapest-looking thing ever. But I ended up scoring the sweet Black Friday deal with the super slim...and let me just say that pictures do NOT do this thing justice. It is very sleek and awesome in person. It's also amazingly compact which is a huge plus. The fat is just way too massive, whereas the super slim is almost as small as my slim PS2!

I hear people complain about removal of the automatic disk drive all of the time. Here's the thing...it's just one less moving part to break and one less disk to get stuck inside. Plus I just love hearing that satisfying "click" after closing the door.

It isn't loud, though. I don't know where people are coming up with that. My fat was much louder.

I noticed that quite a few new games come with a long code that you have to input to access online multiplayer. Let's take LBP Karting for example. You have to input a serial number, then download a "purchase" of $0 from the PS Store to access online play.

Now, our PS3 is shared between three different users. If one user inputs the code, is the code used up or can it be used more than once? Can the other users not access the online modes then? Do we actually have to purchase more online passes? Also, how expensive are these passes?

Apologies if this has been answered before. I can't seem to find much on this and I don't know the exact name for these things.

Hi everyone. I've never played Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, and I really want to pick it up! However, every website I go to is selling it used for over $35. I simply can't justify prices upward to the nearly cost of a new Wii game and so I'm at a loss. Can any of you guys help me out? Thanks.

I have the 500 gb bundle with assassin's creed, for me it's an awesome system. I like the way it looks, and you just press the buttom up front to open the door. But to close it you slide the door back, but no problems, so far.

And just $300.00 for the 500 gb.

Hey, so what do you think of the build quality? Does it feel especially cheap to you? Is it noisier, hotter, etc. than the older models? Is there anything about the new model that you think could turn into an issue in the future.

Hello everyone. I was planning to buy another PS3 this cyber Monday to replace my old, fat PS3 model that unfortunately died. I noticed that this new super slim model is really being pushed and even has avery tempting Assassin's Creed III bundle (which is only $20 more than the un-bundled PS3 slim model on Amazon).

Financially, the super slim seems to be the way to go, but in addition to it being absolutely fugly, I'm very concerned about the durability. I am constantly seeing things by people saying that it seems very cheap, especially the manual disk drive door.

Has anyone had any experience with this new model?

As a PS2 slim owner, I realize that redesigns can be a good thing for durability, but I'm not so sure about this model.
