It's not going to be called the XBOX 720.

Microsft would be stupid to name their next console the "720", and there's a very simple reason for it.

Ever notice that it's 360 in the first place? It has to go up against Playstation 3. It wouldn't make sense to name it "XBOX 2" because 2 sounds worse than 3. Put a 3 in the title and it subconciously gains an extra life and is on par with other systems in the generation.

There's a problem though. If you take a circle, it's 360 degrees. If they are going to name it 720, all that means is they'll go up and back, in a circle, to the same thing they had before.

If they name it 540, which is a circle and a half, it would mean they're still making progress forward, and it's got the "4" and "5" to go against the Playstation 4. "5" sounds better, no?

Yeah! First blog entry!

So, I guess I better tell my story:

I started gaming back in 1999, when we first got a Playstation. I was so excited - my first game I ever played was Toy Story 2: Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue! And I thought it was amazing. I also started out with A Bug's Life (terrible) and of course, Spyro The Dragon.

Then it moved on to a few other games, like Tiger Woods PGA '99 and WCW Nitro. As my game collection grew, I became more curious about what else was available.

And then it happened.

My sister bought the game Tomb Raider. I loved it so much. The only issue was that my sister bought it before I was 13, so my mom had it locked in a cabinet until then. But, once it was mine, I owned it. I now currently have all the Tomb Raider games, including Anniversary.

Then I discovered oldskool gaming - Mario, Donkey Kong, and others. I personally like the older games more than some of the newer ones.

Now that I'm 17, I can enjoy any game I prefer. I still occasionally go back to the original games I started with, for nostalgia. It's fun, you should try it sometime.
