Video Games Anti-Awards

Hello and welcome to RD1109's Video Games Anti-Awards '09 where we will give demerits for the suckiest games of 2008 and 2009. So, without further or do, let's begin!

_________________________

The first demerit will be given to the game with the absolute worst graphics! The craptastic graphics demerit goes to....

HAZE for Playstation 3!!!!

This game is absolutely horrible! Nothing good comes from this game, and the graphics seem like it was an accident and they coded it for PS2 and not PS3. Definitely stay the eff away from this emm effin game!
_____________________________

This next demerit goes to the game that had the worst storyline. The "Why am I playing this?" demerit goes to...

Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad for the Xbox 360!

Well, what's better than virtual babes bouncing around while swinging giant swords? Absolutely EVERYTHING! Who cares about this game? What a terrible idea for a video game. Anyone who spent $60 on this game was an absolute retard.

______________________________

The third demerit goes out to the single game with the most generic feel. The "stupid dumb game" demerit goes to...

FUEL for the Xbox 360/Playstation 3/PC!

This game is crappy. I was excited for it because I'm a fan of DiRT and GRID, but this game felt generic and boring. The free ride mode is horrible as well.

______________________________

The fourth demerit is for the game with the absolute worst online play. The "JESUS THIS SUCKS" demerit goes to...

Dark Sector for the Xbox 360/Playstation 3/PC!

This was the easiest one yet. This game is just plain horrible online. If you can find a game because there is like 3 people online at all times, then you will play and find that it is boring, un-instructive, and stupid. God I hate that game's multiplayer.

______________________________

The fifth and final demerit will go to the biggest overall letdown game. The demerit goes to...

HAZE for the Playstation 3!

Before Haze was released it was called "The Halo Killer", "Most anticipated game ever", and "Must-have EPIC game". I have yet to see a score over 7.0. Crappy visuals, generic gunplay, terrible voice acting, a wimpy main character, boring missions, and bad graphi... did I mention it has HORRIBLE graphics?

[ Microsoft + Sony ]

Imagine if Microsoft and Sony merged and made a gaming system. It shall be called the Playbox 3000. This system has a built in Windows 7 operating system and a Blu-Ray player, along with the ability to play PSOne games, PS2 games, PS3 games, original Xbox games, Xbox 360 games, PC games, and Playbox 3000 games, of course. It would be the most epic console of all time.

Features:

Windows 7 OS

100TB Hard Drive

500GB RAM

5 USB Slots

Built-in 12MP Webcam

Blu-Ray Disk Player

Skype Chat

The ability to hatch eggs

Public Transportation

Makes brownies on the fly

Grean Tea dispenser

Built-in Post Office

Airline Tickets machine

Can give an abortion

Will play basketball with you

Built-in ATM

Free Cell Phone network

Yeah, that's a hell of a system... maybe it ill come out next year!

My Three Favorite COD4 Maps

Okay, so as everyone probably already knows, Call Of Duty 4 is my favorite game. I can play Call Of Duty 4 for hours on end, without getting bored. Well, what can I say? The mutiplayer is spectacular, and with that spectacular multiplayer comes some great maps. Here's my opinion on which maps are the best three:

So for my third overall favorite COD4 map, I'm going to have to choose Pipeline. A lot of people hate the map because it's huge, but I like it because it fits my style of play (clear a room, move to the next) and if I'm feeling frisky, there are some really good spots that can benefit any good sniper.

My second favorite is easy. Crash. I love Crash because of the beautiful design and the amazing 3-story bulding. You can snipe, sneak, run n' gun, or camp and wait for anyone to pass. The map is simply brilliant. There is a burning helicopter that is split in half directly in the middle of the map that you can hide in, the previously mentioned 3-story building that you can climb to the top of either to clame yours or to get blown up by the opposing team's C4 the exact second you reach the top. Simply put, the map is a lot of fun.

Okay, so now it's down to my favorite map. My favorite map is Crossfire. Crossfire is a perfect balnce. There are some killer sniper spots, lots of good C4/Claymore sections, a good amount of rooms to clear, and a wide open road to run n' gun. The map is also a perfect fit for Search and Destroy. There are hardly any flaws and the bus makes for an awesome come from behind attack spot. Everybody I know loves this map, as well as myself.

As for maps I can't stand and want to literally kill myself when they pop up - Wet Work, Creek, Bog, Broadcast, and Killhouse. As you can tell, I don't recommend the downloadable map pack.

Why does everyone hate COD: World at War !?

All I ever hear from people is how they screwed up and took a huge step in the wrong direction for making Call Of Duty: World at War. My question is, WHY? First of all, they created a fully-fleshed campaign mode with an enticing story line and brilliantly thought out missions, while adding a beautiful soundtrack and awesome cutscenes that, believe it or not, actually teach you important things about world history. The ending is incredible, and the four difficulties are well balanced. To compliment the epic campaign, there's the all-new Nazi Zombies game mode that is highly addictive and fun, and adds real variety to an FPS.Let's continue. The multiplayer runs off of the same engine as Call Of Duty 4. They literally carried over the exact same engine from Modern Warfare to use in World at War. Meaning, of course, that the multiplayer has the same feel and concept. Of course, it's still different, because of the maps, new game modes, more weapons and the addition of tanks and gore. But these aren't things to complain about. Sure, I hate a lot of the maps, and the fact that everyone whores the MP40 with Juggernaut, but I mean come on...there isn't enough reason to dislike Call Of Duty: WaW if you were a fan of Call Of Duty 4. Myself, personally, I still like Call Of Duty 4 better. BUT, Call Of Duty: WaW is still one hell of a game.
