Can someone who actually knows what the hell they are talking about help me out! Ive been having trouble connecting to XBOX LIVE. I bought an ethernet cable yesterday and gold membership connected it to my XBOX to my modem which is a motarola surf board(black with the green lights on) Tryed to connected to XBOX LI but didnt work. So I tried looking at tutorials and asking peo, some said I need a router to connect then some said they have connected straight from their XBOX to their modems and didnt need any router! Im pretty much a step from plucking the wires of my xbox like a chicken tbh.

So please I throw myself down help me out!

but i explained to her my modem was one that I got from My ISP which has the green flashing lights on and is a small black box... and she said she has the same and it works for her!

I bought the membership and the eathernet cable and nothing it just doesnt connectve plugged it into the back of the modem (the one with tgreen lights on my ISP gave me) and it just says failed please can someone help me!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I was wondering the same thing been debating whether to buy it on amazon or not but looks like a game thats fun for about a hour...
