Since everybody is doing it, here are my top five mains!

1. Falco

I use him all the time. I will occasional change to my 2 if facing a bad match up (like Metaknight).

Character synopsis:

Falco is a beast when used correctly. SHDLs (short hop double laser) will really hurt most opponents and helps Falco approach. This is a key part of his game since he doesn't have many other approach moves. Falco's chain grab basically eliminate half the cast. It leads into a spike but can be DIed (directional influence) out of in most situations. Falco's down throw, aside from being a chain grab, can lead into a hyphen smash (dash attack canceled into a upsmash) or running upsmash. Falco also has great recovery in his >B. It's nigh unpunishable and is a meteor. Falco's vertical recovery is pathetic. Luckily, he is hardly ever in a situation where that matters. >B is really the only recovery move used. Now, my favorite move. TEH SPIKE!!!11!1!11 Falco's dair (down aerial) is amazing. With great priority and a DI able landing (to avoid sheild grabbing), Falco's spike is feared as an approach move and edgeguard (actually, bair is a better edgeguard in most cases since it's easier to land). There are more things to say but you're probably tired of reading :P

2. Mr. Game and Watch

Rarely use him. He is my trump card against Falco's bad match ups.

Character synopsis:

G&W is amazing. He was buffed so much that he is considered high/top tier now. Why you ask? Well, aside from the fact that most his moves have crazy good priority, a disjointed hit box, and a long duration, he has good recovery (think Sonic's recovery) that he can attack out of, an anti-projectile bucket, and the turtle. This turtle is one of G&W's best moves. It is one of the only moves in Brawl that can be used as a low risk approach. It has good range, is a multiple hit (and therefore can't be shield grabbed), pokes shields, and has stupidly good priority. There is some landing lag but this is really hard to punish due to the way this move can be used. The only bad thing about G&W is his weight. He's one of the lightest in the game. That's about it. I could go into how he has a cool down throw into dsmash combo, a double hitting dair, a great nair, and some other stuff but I won't :P

3. Ike

Use him for fun mostly. It's so very satisfying to land a fsmash :P.

Character synopsis:

Ike is okay. He has good range and an annoying vertical recovery. His AAA combo is probably one of his best moves. There are a couple of techs for Ike such as using quick draw to stop right in front of the opponent. This can be lead into any move. Ike has a decent spike also. Very situational but still not bad. As for approach, Ike's bair is extremely quick. I prefer quick draw to another move though. Ike's nair is a nice quick move. Can be used for juggling (very hard to do with Ike) or pressuring the opponent. Ike's fair has great range but bad landing lag. If spaced properly, it can be a useful move. Ike's smashes are situational (like most of Ike's moves) but fun to land :P. To be good with Ike, you have to play a patient game and avoid projectile users

4. TL

Never use except for fun.

Character synopsis:

I'm tired of typing so I'll summarize. TL is a great character. Bair wall of pain, projectiles rock hard, combos, solid recovery, good smashes, quick, kind of light, tether edgeguard that is made of win, nair is a great pressure when spaced well, fair is a good KO move, and, yay, the Lakers won last night. What? You're saying that has nothing to do with TL? :P

5. Pikachu

Trying to learn just in case :|

Character synopsis:

Okay, this guy is tough to play well. QACing is HARD! Ugh, I still can't get it consistently. Pika is a tough competitor that could end up being one of the best (depends how QACing turns out). vB is great for star KO's and basically anything else :P. A good Pikachu will be everywhere at once spamming B and QACing into aerials and the dreaded dsmash T_T. Pika also has great recovery that is extremely hard to edgeguard. He is a nuisance to play. That's one of the many reasons I want to learn him :P

This video covers QACing and some other cool stuff about Pika. Try watching it if you want to learn something.

5. Metaknight (tie between Pika and Meta)

Trying to learn just in case :|

Speed, great grabs, edgeguarding, combos, priority, recovery, and so many other things. This guy rocks :?

That's it for now.
