After speaking with Microsoft again, it is a design flaw. Those that do not have HD service will have issues when they tell there xbox to go to a certain channel. It will prefer the HD channel over a standard definition (if your cable provider still displays the HD channels) and there is no current way to change that. I am calling them back now to see what they will do for me since this xbox is not performing like it was advertised to.

That is an idea that I will try, but even then, it still is a pain. I do not have the channel numbers memorized, and any guess wouldnt either.
Hello,
I have a issue when I command my xbox to go to a certain channel it goes to the HD version of that channel. Problem is, I do not pay for HDTV with comcast. So my xbox takes me to the HD channel and I get a black screen with the comcast pop up saying to please call to order HDTV service. I called support and chatted with them, I even have the chats saved. They claim I need to send my xbox in, that is complete bull crap. It is a software design issue. The xbox is programmed to automatically go to the HD channel if it has a choice between HD and SD. There are options to filter out SD and duplicate channels, but no option to filter out HD channels. So currently when I say "Xbox, Watch ESPN" it take me to the ESPN HD and I get a black screen, same goes for any other channel that comcast offers in regular and HD tv. So, with that being said, is anyone having the same issue? I cant believe xbox thinks its my console. I am 99% sure it is a software issue and someone didnt think about if people didnt pay for HDTV. Please, others let me know if you are having this same issue!
Thanks
I am trying to get a key for the beta when it comes out, any ideas on how I can obtain a key? I know it was given out with MOH, but any other ways or ideas?
110$? If u were lucky like me u should check ur email and see if u got the $100 off coupon from gamestop, thats if u are apart of there rewards program off course. If not, I say u tell him u have the coupon anyways and try and talk him down to maybe 80 ish?
Yep, thats standard definition for ya! Thats one hugeee thing I noticed when I had to play on a standard T.V a few weeks ago, I thought I was blind.Everytime i seem to play a game on my ps3 the text is always very small and very hard to read. Even if i move up to read, its readable but very hard. Is this because i have a standard T.V not HD. Its a decent size maybe around 20in. I have been at many people's who have a ps3 and they all have the same problem. Is there anyway to fix this? The text is very small and blurry. The text seems to be moving up and down.
