It doesn't deserve a 10 out of 10. I'd give it a 9.

Do kids not get taught economics in school anymore?
My Z28 MSRP was more than $26k in 2002. I paid $10k
My wife's WRX MSRP was more than $25k in 2003. I paid $12k
Moving to a 1 car family with the 2010 S4, which costs more than $46k MSRP. We're waiting 3 years until we can find a certified used one for under $28k.

People aren't stupid. I agree. Consumers in the "Gotta have it now crowd" on the other hand.... ;)

So you're going to buy Starcrat II used in 3-5 years?
The problem is pc gamers are spoil, when someone does something different they whin like kids over it, an extra ten bucks for SC2 isn't going to kill anyone of force anyone to quite their jobs over it, topics like these are getting annoying by the minute, if you don't like the game don't buy it, your not hurting Blizzard at all, they are not going to drop the price of SC2 until the expansions come out, your just complaing just to complain and your not stating anything that's logical at all, all your doing is speaking just to speak and looking for some attention obviously, Lan play is minor with online being so big nowadays, only 10-20% of the market cares about this for Starcraft 2, so why put it in? I could go on and on to tell you (TC) how silly you sound but I won't waste my time of day on this anymore.wizdom
If you honestly think a company would leave something simple out that 10-20% of their fanbase wants, then I'm glad you aren't going to "waste your time" on this anymore.

What proof do you want? A/B is already charging a 20% premium for Wings of Liberty because they can
...
They can say that they're releasing expansions at $40 a pop all they want. It's still 20% or more of what Expansions go for in the market.

They are not charging a higher amount 'because they can'. They are charging a premium, because people are prepared to pay that premium on Blizzard products. Just like you pay a premium on other items, from groceries to cars. People pay for a good brand, that has a track record of quality.
People aren't stupid, if it's not worth it, they won't buy it.
I was waiting for a BS quote like this. How much will it cost to go see Batman 3 at the theaters? The exact same ammount as it will cost to go see Scary Movie 14 or Alvin and the Chipmunks 3: Alvin gets some tail.
Bioware isn't charging more for their games. No one does on the consoles either. They're games, not cars or expensive steaks.
I'm buying it when I get back from work in an hour or so, but that's because I'm willing to pay the extra money. I can understand why some people are upset here. Blizzard is charging extra because they know people will pay for it.
"BUT BUT TEH PC GAMIGN IS DYING!"

1 game means PC gaming is as stong as ever? No.
I'll be downloading it this morning, hopefully playing it at work tomorrow night. Haven't really played all that much RTS games since the original, so it will be nice to get back into the genre.
I've owned both. Graphics and gameplay are pretty much the exact same, I couldn't tell a difference. I hardly ever saw a dropped game on the 360 though, and it was prevalent on PSN. The online mode is much more stable on the 360, although I've heard its running better on the PS3 now as well.
Nope. Its a huge control change for established systems. How much support do you think it will get?
On the other hand, I will be getting MotionPlus for the Wii. Looks to take the waggle and make it close to 1 to 1 motion.
Ding ding ding! We have a winner! Many gamers were first introduced to the RPG genre via FFVII. Everyone knows the first time of nearly everything is the best, so naturally they will remember FFVII as 'the best' seeing as it was their first. Nevermind the commonly-held belief that there were better games out (visual-quality notwithstanding) out prior to it, and CERTAINLY better RPGs released after it. It is inferior in every sense, but nostalgia is a fickle thing, and that doesn't matter to alot of the people who had FFVII as their first RPG.[QUOTE="DJ_Lae"]and for people who had never played an RPG before it was a spectacular, erection-inspiring event..Verge_6
FF1 or Dragon Quest was my first RPG, and FFVII is my favorite JRPG of all time, as is many others who had years of RPG's under their belt before its release. Nice attempt at explaining FF7's popularity though....

Yea, those were great. At that point in time in the MGS universe I understood the majority of what was going on.
