Well ive noticed my PC is running a little laggy and programs seem to be getting a little argumentative with me at the moment. I'm debating whether to wipe my install clean and start a fresh with all the latest drivers. Trouble is.... do I go through all that amount of time? I have to reinstall all my codecs and all the supporting software i need for my programs and hardware. It was painful the last time round and I know I have twice the amount than previously. Not to mention that AAA titles are coming out like Bulletstorm and Homefront, and if I don't get my system right before they are released im going to be mad! ^_^ I would do backups of my installation, however I find that a pointless scenario. What happens if I backup my main drive every month or so, my windows system could already be running like crap and I wouldn't have a smooth backup to go back to. I know that on my next blitz that anything i need to run like programs etc. Will be installed on a different Partition, that way if I need to re-install windows, it will only be system files and drivers that i need to worry about. I already have my documents, downloads and music on a different HDD. (Tip of the day lol) Time will tell, if it gets unbearable il just push my self :P Any advice or personal experience would be a good read for me :)
