This game doesn't have "great" graphics. It's was origanlly a Quake2 mod. lol. But, what this game does have is great gameplay. It's fast and the truesight(iron-sight) makes it feel very real. This game has players that have been playing it for over 8 years. Talk about tough!

It is still in development. Although, the official Dev team no longer works on it. It's being overhauled, atm, to bump it up to 24/32 bit graphics with new higher poly, hgher res player and weapon models and Quake3 .bsp maps. I am heading that development team.

Another great thing about this game is...you don't have to leave out your poorer friends that can't afford mackdaddy comps/vid-cards. It can be played on a PII with an 8mb non-accelerated vid-card(software-mode) or you can use the enhanced engine (EGL) and max out the graphics to require a pretty fast vid-card. It's a game for the masses.

This is a great game for someone who likes WW2 fps and/or someone interested in learnin how to do modeling, level editing, etc. It's simple architecture makes it easy for the most in experienced developers to contribute to the game.

Hi, everyone. I want to take this chance to introduce you guys to a great online fps. D-Day Normandy is a totally free online multiplayer WW2 based fps. It has truesights instead of a crosshair..for better realism and it is a fast pace game. This game has been around for many years now..but, is still in development. Current development will be taking the game to a higher level with all new weapon and player models. Check it out!

Ddaynormandy.exe: http://files.filefront.com/DDayNormandyexe/;7704138;/fileinfo.html

D-Day Normandy forums:http://ddc.planetquake.gamespy.com/phpBB3/index.php

If you have any questions abut the game. I would be glad to answer them.

D-Day Normandy was released in 1999. It's a Quake2 total conversion Mod...now a full Standalone.

It can run on an old computer with no vid card...but also has a high Graphix engine that requires a decent vid card.

Plz add to your list. The link, in my signature, below is where to get it. It's a full standalone, Q2 isn't needed to play. The .exe contains everything needed to play.

I tried it a few months ago. I was confused on how to play, too. :\

I deleted it and went back to my favorite online game. D-Day Normandy.

You guys are mean. :P

I play this game. D-Day Normandy. Multiplayer, WW2 FPS.

It has graphic modes that span from software rendering to 32bit openGL.

So, you can run this on a 233mhz w/4 mb onboard vid card...But it also has 32 bit openGL mode with particles and decals that demands a decent vid card.

This game fits the full spectrum of gamers out there. Not everyone has a 3.0+ ghz machine with a 256mb+ vid card. In fact, statistically, the majority of computer owners, around the world, have a PIII or less.

You can download this great game by copying and pasteing the link in my signature below.
