I wouldnt recommend it, selling your PSP that is.

Find another way to finance your next DS, else your gonna end up back at square one and full of guilt sooner or later. If your determined to go one way, I dunno, write up a list of games you want for each platform I guess... choose the one with the longer list.

There is a demo on its way, in early February they said it would be out in about a month so ya, soon ;)

Why is it when the PSP is arguably doing better then it has done in its entire lifetime, some people seem to think it is dying. Kind of stupid no?

You have not seen the sales figures? You have not seen the game line up for this year? You have not seen Sony still throwing its full support behind it, firmware updates, Skype, advertisements, etc etc? You have seen none of this?

For your question on its remaining life span, who knows I'd take a guess at about 3 years or more. Possibly more, think about it there isn't any news for the PSP2, if there was going to be a new one in the next 1,2 years we would know something about it.

Graphic enhancements, gameplay enhancements, new quests, UI's, dungeons, armours, weapons, spells, abilitys, cities, and more. I also disliked Oblivion out of the box, many problems, but I removed them with the aid of the modding community.

My mum plays sometimes on my DS. My dad is a gamer, although as he has grown older >40+, less and less so.

He is still dedicated enough to buy a 50" TV for Forza 2 however...

I dunno, its a good game no doubt, but still after all this time I haven't been able to bring myself to complete it. I've got to go into that damn temple again... ;-/

There is a ton of hype for So1+2, GoW, FF:CC and others. Sony is still supporting with updating the firmware and with the Slim sales have rocketed.. well acording to all those graphs people throw around in our faces all the time ;)

In fact the PSP has never been more alive... so i don't know where you got that idea that it is dying from ;-/

I really like the white psp alot defientl;y my favourite, but i have the piano black finger-print magnet which is pretty damn sweet looking also :)

The red one looks horrible.

Tales of Eternia, Valkarie Profile and Breath of Fire 3 are all very good RPG's i can put forward.(Although ports- Tales of Eternia is real-time combat)

Don't forget CrisisCore on the near future as well! None of them are SRPG's.

Theres the FF1+2 remakes they are ok at best. Then the other games that have been mentioned in the thread. There arn't really many AA RPG's out thre though which is a shame but theres still pleanty of decent ones i think. Maybe your a little right ;)

Edit: oh yea, and the Star ocean remakes are comming our way!

But I know a friend of mine speaks very highly of Disgaea.
