I'm just glad to know that I didn't pay for aport with inferior sound quality.

VC games aren't really ports, they're copies of the original cartridge ROMs.

Which stinks because it means that us PAL users still get games like Sonic the Hedgehog that run with borders and at a slower pace.

Well what about the PSP game is it pay to play online? That should be a good indication of what they will do with this one, I cant even recall any pay to play console games, its not something typically done on home consoles, all Capcom has to do is look around at competition to see how this will fair. Even a game like MAG appears to not have a fee and that is very very close to an MMO, and an actual MMO that DC Universe game refuses to say whether you will have to pay because its such a foreign concept on home consoles.Sepewrath
Well the PSP version doesn't have a pay to play system in any region. Including Japan. Neither did the last PS2 game. However, I can't see why they would only charge the Japanese to play online with Monster Hunter 3 and not any other region.

Maybe they could come up with a design that involves using both screens of the DS at the same time. Perhaps through a cooperative multiplayer element? Or an option to switch between bounty hunters in different locations? I don't really know.

Ah well. Considering the japanese have to pay to play online, I expect it will be the same case for both America and Europe. And with that my interest in this game dies. I might pick it up for the offline mode once the price comes down, but i'll save my money for something else I thinks. :(

Red Faction 3 is a pretty boring game so I wouldn't worry too much. The series generally has been a bore. The games are technically impressive at first, but you'll find something else to play quite soon after.

I don't think you would have offended anyone with your assumptions of a typical american gamer, but more likely for how you described cartoon graphics.

So why doesn't anybody ask them to draw up an official timeline of the series.
