Both Dedi Server and Matchmaking have pros and cons.

What my friends and I learnt from MW2 was that the matchmaking made it easy for (not counting the bad code that randomly kicked people out and such things) us to play together, and it also made it a lot more easy to find said game mode, the drawback was, that there are no viable way to get rid of hackers and you constantly play at 300-500 ping, exept the host who has 0 and as such gives him a huge advantage.

We also learned from SMG Ops (aka Black ops) that while the dedicated server fixed most of the lagg problem (yet again not counting bad code) and got rid of the cheaters it was frustratingly hard to join as a group and play on the same team (the auto scramble after every match dosent help here).

That alone makes the game tottally unplayable. The party mode was bugged to **** in MW2 aswell if their is 5 or 6+ of you. Never got Blops but from what I understand, they were not true dedicatedservers , more like hosted servers.

Both are totally different types of fps.

You're a Halo (and therefore a console) gamer. I'm sorry, but I don't think that your opinion really matters.

I've played MW2, both the singleplayer and multiplayer, and there's a complete lack of need for teamplay in the multiplayer, and you'd need to be a lesser gamer (i.e. console gamer, obviously) to enjoy that. Good players want competitive play where teamwork and skill are rewarded (like Counter Strike, the best FPS ever made), and console gamers want to run in circles with big guns, playing deathmatch and screaming at their screen. Ever wondered why good games that take actual skill (Starcraft, Counter Strike etc) are not released on the console? That's right.

You realize that your describing BFBC2 also right? The direction the BF series has taken since BF2 shows that even DICE cares about reaching out to the cod player base. Like a previous poster has said, if their both good games we win as gamers. Good games promotes competition and innovation. Why do you think DICE is trying so hard with each BF they come out with? They are trying to take down COD which is a good thing for us. Also we get to play both great games. Oh and Halo takes a lot of skill. It has a huge competetive scene like CS, SC, etc. People don't give Bungie enough credit when they made such a great online game.

The Halo competitive scene is tiny compared to SC, CS. I do agree though, Halo online plays way better than any CoD/MW on console. If MW3 PC has IWNet, which im assuming it does, it will be borderline unplayable, like MW2. To me at least.

Bioshock 2 was bad port and looks terrible but it was fun and enjoyable , finish it and forget about itmacronia

+1

The mouse look was buggy as hell to boot. Shame because I found Bioshock 1 very immersive. This was def a backwards step. V.Much looking forward to the new game tho.

Anyone remember this game? Had a good story mode, upgradable units, magic items and spells. I used to love it. This and AoE got me into RTS I think. Itwas pretty faithfull to the Warhammer world with a good selection of units and environments. Thinking of getting it again and replaying for the epicness of destroying an ork army with a mortar! woo, gd times

Bought a £100 refurb xbox for RDR and SSF4. A year later its still going strong but see's little use. Once SSF4AE hits PC it'll be gettin packed away.
