As I expected, 12 won in the gameplay category, but not because I didn't try hard.  12 has a very good gameplay system, but I find the rest of the game boring and lacking... not a lot of stuff to do but hunts (more fighting) and a bunch of fetch missions... bleh. 

Next!  Story battle!  I think we got this one in the bag... but I still gotta show the judges I'm right... here I go..

For anyone that has ever played Final Fantasy 12 and Final Fantasy 7, there's a debate going on in one of the union's I'm in.  The debate is invitation only, so dont post in there even if you do have an opinion about it... if you want start up another debate somewhere else or something, but it's really fun so far!  A bunch of good points.

 

When asked which game I think is the most realistic, I replied that I think we're all missing a point... there really aren't "real games"... no one would play them if they were real, therefore no one would produce them.  The whole point of playing a game is to escape reality... creating a 'real' game would distroy the point of digital gaming.  If you want to play a real war game... join the AF or the Marines.  If you wanna play a real sports game... go get a football or a soccerball or a baseball or whtatever... but asking what video game is real is pointless.

So I just picked me up a Geforce 7900 last night, pretty sweet.  Benchmarks about 50% better than my previous video card (6800 GT OC).  So, naturally I pick up my Oblivion game last night, run Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul mod, and try it out :)

Decent looking game, but I was wondering if anyone knew of any mods to make it look better?  Let me know!

Anyone know the highest level person on Gamespot?  I've seen up to 37..

School is in full swing now.  I'm doing my best to learn what I'm supposed to 'learn' but all I'm really there for is computers.  I'm actually finding each class more and more insteresting as I'm going though, and other classes that I thought would be good, are less interesting than I first had thought.

Calculus II is by far my most difficult, but I'm managing to brave past it, and bit by bit I think I'm getting it.  I'm in a study group actually, I've never studied with anyone else, but I find that it is very hard to find anyone as motivated to learn as I am now.  Most of the 'kids' I'm dealing with are just there becasue their parents tell them to be, or because they think they're supposed to be there.  It's hard to be there when I know that I want to be there and none of the others around me want to; that I want to learn the things that I'm going to be expected to know before advancing to higher planes of thought.  I cant wait for tomorrow... another day of learning!

Though not into Star Wars, I got into the Star Wars mini game earlier this year at Comicon San Diego.  I've been spending most of my free time, when not gaming, working on a Star Wars Minis website.  More on that to come.

I'm leaving my job as a full time employee on Tuesday, and going back to school full time.  I can't wait!

Hey folks, S'me Brian!  This is my first blog post, so a bit about myself.  I ride around my motorcycle a lot and work a bunch too.  When I'm not working or hanging out with amigos I bury myself in games.  Mostly an RPG fan, but I dabble in MMORPGs, FPS's, and whatever games are available and playable for PSP.  Life on the Bside is pretty mellow most of the time but I enjoy what I do and do what I enjoy.  I just got back from having breakfast in Mexico, but all was delish and the ride was fun but long.  Ass hurts need my drink... where'd it go..
