There are two routes to take when hooking up your 360. If the moniter has DVI and VGA then you can use digital connections or analog connections. With a vga adapter box you can use the basic av cable to connect via the VGA input, but this method has some problems. With analog the resolution and picture quality will be inferior to the digital alternative. Using the HDMI output on your 360 you can connect to an HDCP (see the label, manual, or online information to see if your moniter is HDCP ready) ready moniter. This provides a higher picture quality but without an HDCP ready moniter it will not work. With either message your best bet for audio is to use the basic av cables (red and white cables) to connect to speakers.
