@plastiqueworld: i know right? It's so huge. I had the questionable advantage of 45 days of unemployment in the summer 2015 which was great for playing the witcher :D

Almost here!!! From my point of view it's really crazy that dark souls 3 will be released in the same month as uncharted 4, because dark souls is my favourite game of all and uncharted my favourite shooter... What are the chances?

2015 i had only bloodborne as a big title. I played witcher and i am playing fallout, and while those games are both good i never got addicted to them like i would to souls or uncharted. When i'm done with them, i'm done with them. Me and my friends were playing uncharted mp since uncharted 2 and we love it. We were playing u2 mp until u3 came out and then played that until we all got ps4s. I've been waiting for over a year now for a good competitive mp on the ps4. I don't like FPS and there aren't many good TPS mps out there especially compared to uncharted. Factions (last of us) is definitely a lot of fun, but i played it on ps3 too so i've been playing that for a long time now. I hope that u4 mp will satisfy all my competitive shooter needs for the next 2-3 years, like the other uncharted did before.

Same goes for dark souls. With Bloodborne inbetween it felt really quick for dark souls 3 to release (not that i'm complaining). But i'm guessing that after dark souls 3 there will be no souls game for another 2 years at least. So hopefully if this game is as amazing as dark souls (1) it will keep me busy for a long time, like dark souls (1) did. I got burned out on ds2 and bloodborne rather fast (still played it a lot but not comparable to ds(1) ) and i really wanna know if i'm fed up with dark souls gameplay in general (which i can't imagine) or if dark souls 3 is gonna keep me going and keep me interested just like the 1st one and demon's souls did. I'm trying to keep my expectations in check, but i'm having a hard time.

So yeah, both dark souls and uncharted are my favourite franchises and are going to be released in the same month!! I am so gonna take 2 weeks vacation in April.

Any1 feel the same about those 2 games or are you all straight-up (action-)rpg fans?

@RaveNRolla: and i forgot what i really wanted to say: the part about the game letting you explore and find out stuff by yourself without handholding in the form of objective markers, tutorials and such (oh god do i hate objective markers) is what really sparked my initial interest.

sounds cool. i love pure puzzle games. the only problem is their replayability, which is non-existent most of the times. But i don't need to go back to every game i own so that's fine. I don't know what to think about those panels, i wonder if there wasn't a way to implement the puzzles in the game world in a more natural way.

I don't know this braid every1 talks about or this game designer but last year i enjoyed the swapper as the best puzzle game of the year for me. Personally i really liked the creepy atmosphere and the fact that they didn't just use cloning as a gameplay mechanic, but also for the narrative background and the question what would happen to the soul during cloning.

So this looks kinda like the same type of game. You play it once until the end and probably never again, because why would you? (this isn't rethoric, please answer if you can). If it's like 10-20€ i'll pick it up, but if it is sold for 40€ that might be a bit too much.

@demon-returns: Probably not. Maybe if it isn't called resident evil, but instead a new studio that has the goal of bringing back that old survival horror gameplay. And obviously not for the masses but maybe as a 20-30€ indie-title. For all i care it can be digital release only.

I know i'm one of few, but i'm actually really excited for a resident evil 7. A mix between old-school and new-school RE-games would be so cool. E.g. there will be lots of zombies and weird monsters to kill, maybe coop and the lost in nightmares feature will be back where you can choose between third-person shoulder cam and oldschool cam angle (with trophies/achievements for beating the game in the repective modes) . Also the scale needs to tuned down a bit. Resident Evil was always more exciting when it was 1 or 2 people figuring out a mystery in a relatively secluded area (mansion, facility, island, forest) instead of deciding the fate of the world (as in RE6).

Also what i still appreciate Capcom for: Unlockables. Beat the game in a certain time or with a certain rank to unlock something awesome like a new chapter or a weapon or even just a costume. The rise of the season passes has taken that away from a lot of publishers since it's just too tempting for them to make money off of it.

@Gravity_Slave: yeah, i guess you're right about that. It should be fairly easy to find a few like-minded people. Still there's gonna be those times when only 3 are online and willing to play and you get stuck with a random who might be killing the game for you. While this can happen in any mp my point was that it probably weighs more in this game, although i haven't played it myself so i can't tell.

The question is wether you can play this game without having 4 friends online and willing to play. It must be really frustrating to play this with random players (more so than other, less strategic mps). In other mps a random player not performing well (also called noob by many players, though i hate the word) is an annoyance and a welcome excuse if your team lost the match ;) , but in this game i imagine it could be game-breaking.

Also i saw some matches online and like the reviewer i got the idea that the objectives are purely cosmetic and in practise every round turns into a deathmatch, since objectives do not matter anymore when the other team is wiped.

Ă“ther than that the game looks nice and fun to play.

@Geogyf: i think it's very smart that you cannot "rewind" or reload your last save. This makes the game that much stronger in my opinion. Until dawn had the same "feature" and it would have been a pointless experience without it. When some1 would die you'd just reload and change that decision, that'd be crap and there would be no more weight in the decisions. Since those 2 games are greatly based on the decisions you make it is absolutely right to have no rewind/reload feature.

what's meant with "this holiday" (concerning ps4 release)? Easter? 4th of july? Summer? Thanksgiving? Christmas? Could someone elaborate on that please? It seems that everyone just knows (or doesn't ask) what is meant with that except me.

A Summer release would be sweet. I liked the 1st one, although i found it no more than a good TPS with very little replayability, but i heard this part exceeds expectations.
