Not back in a while

I've been kind of busy the last couple of monts but the following ones are gonna get even worse as I have a lot of studying to do and also I had to change my internet connection and as of a couple of weeks ago I'm now in a plan that alow me only to transfer 3 GB. Not too nice.

A little more music

Sorry I've not been able to keep up with my "reviewing" but it's been a harsh time in the University (It's the end of the year, so I've got finals, papers and exams). Anyway, what I'm planning to talk about now is "Bands that are underappreciated" (but not only from over here). Reel Big Fish. Great band, and not as popular as they should. For instance, over here they are almost unknown. The Coral. Another great band that hasn't got the difusion it deserves. The Shins. I knew them by watching the movie "Garden State" and, as Natalie Portman said when she showed the band to Zach Braff "once you know them it changes your life" (more or less that's what she said). And for today I'm living you with that Trilogy. Saludos, FABRO.

And in happier news...

Some time ago somebody gave me an eMail addres where I could send a message and a couple of weeks after that I would get a signed Drew Barrymore picture (she's my favourite actres in all senses). This morning, after 2 or 3 months I got it, I actually got it. I feel like such a groupie, but I don't care, it's cool to have a signed picture (more if you think that living here I would never have the chance to get it any other way). Anyway, I guess this is the last post of this kind (I hate blogs that put this kind of posts). Saludos, FABRO.

Actual Blog Post

I named that way because the following will be a lot like the posts in most sucky blogs I know, but I have to get something out of my chest. Last night I did (maybe) the dumbest thing I've ever done. I went out with a friend a her lil sister (who's also a friend of mine, but not that much as the older sister). The problem was that at some point we (the older sister and I) made out. Not that that was something new, we sometimes do it, its a bit for the fun of it and to let the urges out when we are not with someone else. Most people know it (despite I try to keep it as low profile as posible, as I don't want a relationship) including her sister. But the thing is that about 30 minutes after I made out with my friend, I hooked up (it menas sort of the same as make out, no? - I try to change a bit the word selection) with the other sister. Yeah, that's right, I just couldn't resist the temptation (she was really pushing this on me). Anyways, at the moment I'm trying to play the "past is in the past" card and if it's possible not mentioning this again to any of them it won't come out, but I don't know for sure that they won't talk about it among themselves. In any case I'll probably get in trouble. I hope somhow it will work out. Saludos, FABRO. P.S.: Sorry I've not been arround that much, but this time of the year is harsh when you are studying.

Music Underdogs (from Rio De La Plata)

This one is about the top 5 bands I consider to be really underappreciated. But talking about the whole world is pretty big, so I'll be talking about bands from "Rio De La Plata" (meaning Uruguay and Argentina): 1 - Árbol (that means Tree). That's a band that gives terrific live performances (in a world where you can get almost all the songs of any artist live performances are - to me - of main importance). And also you have great songs, great lyrics (full of irony) and mixture of genre. 2 - Bufón (I guess the word in English is the same, it's The Joker, the clown that makes the King laugh). It's a lot like Árbol, but with a lot more Irony in their lyrics but powerfull but less impressive shows. 3 - La Triple Nelson (It's the name of a move of a wrestler from a show that was broadcasted in the 80s over here). Great Blues and Rock'n'Roll with 3 really talented performers (and also the singer is sort of a showman in a JackBlackish way). 4 - Buenos Muchachos (It's the way the Movie "Good Fellas" is called over here). Although recently they are being paid attention it's a terrific band (sort of like The Pixies) that's been arround for a long time. 5 - Lapso (It's like a period of time). They play a soft rock kind of like Incubus but they sound great. Here you have, enjoy them (and if you want try to get some of them).

Feels Good To Be Back

Now that I can finally go to my Profile and to my shows and all that I can rest in peace (not that I'm planning to). And in addition to it I was moved up to Level 4 (not that it makes me any happier than being "The Soup Nazi", but anyway. Oh, and one more thing: I've passed the exam I took the other week so that's really good news. Saludos, FABRO.

What A Leap

I was Level 1 with 89% and now I'm Level 3 with 26%. That's some leap. At leas for me. Nothing else to say. Bye. Saludos, FABRO.

News Update

A little more about me. I've been away (from the PC) because I've been studying for an exam. It's vital that I pass it because if not I have to live a subject that can only be passed by taking the class. I don't remember if I already said so but I'm on my 5th year of a 6 year carreer (I'm studying law). Anyways, soon I'll be saying a lil' more. Saludos, FABRO.

Some More

I'll keep talking about me. Not that i'm that interesting but because I have nothing else to talk about. Anyways, what I was saying was: I'm 24. I'm studying law at the University. Here (in Uruguay) you've got 6 years of School, then 6 years of High School (actually it's 3 years of Middle School and 3 of High School, but anyways) and then you've got the University. In my case it's 6 years (although I'm doing it in 7). That's depending on what you study. Psychology it's 4 years (or 5, I don't really remember). Accountancy (that's the name, isn't it?) is 5 years, Medicine is 7 and a half and so on. Now I'm on my 6th year, but as I said I'm not doing my last but the previous one. Later on I'll keep boring you (I don't know who I'm talking to as nobody read it) with more of "My Boring Life". Saludos, FABRO.

My First One

I never guessed I would end up having a blog. I own a blogger account since July last year and I thought I had nothing to do. I provably haven't, but, as it's sort of an obligation to do so here, I'll do it. On top of it all my native language is not English, but I can try to practise it. About me? I'm from Uruguay, a rather unknown southamerican country. I'm a 24 years old student (I'm studing law). And I don't really know what else to say. Hope somebody finds me a bit interesting (at least to come and visit this place). To end up I have a problem: as I speak Spanish I always (and I mean ALWAYS) end up by saying "Saludos, FABRO", but I can't find a good way to say that. That's why my signature says just "FABRO", but: you got the gist of it.
