Well I thought id update this with little info about me, my favourite subject lol. Well the recent stuff anyway.

Sofor the past while I have been working for a Telecomms company in sunny Scotland. Not a big company but we weregetting there, since our splitfrom Scottish Power about 9 years ago.

As we were just starting to become a profitable company we were bough over by an even bigger one at the start of the year, enter the dreaded C&W. After a few months deliberation to see how the take over would be structured, 75% of the company were told they would be made redundant as of March 2010.

2010 is still along time away so there has not been much stressing over looking for a new job, especially as I would still be entitled to a miniscule redundancy package, and the transfer of works should be complete by this December. If this transfer is indeed complete then I would have some much needed "gardening leave", so 3months of not needing to go to work and still getting paid, then getting a bonus at the end of that for having the transfer completed woohoo.

All in all its a good news bad news situation, although I am looking forward to some much needed R&R, will need to be disciplined enough to keep myself away from my XBOX 24hrs a day. Other than that and Job hunting im open to suggestions on how to fill those months, perhaps volunteering, perhaps getting back to rock climbing havent decided too much yet.
