So basically, all of my friends have decided that they'll be buying their new gaming consoles this year on Black Friday. I've owned a PS3 since 2009 and I've loved it, so I carry a bit of Sony bias with me. I haven't been keeping track of this generation of consoles ever since I first heard they were announced, when I'm pretty sure it was unanimous that PS4 would be the superior system in virtually every way.

This is why I was shocked to hear most of my friends talking about how they were going to buy the XBOX One. But upon some research, it's become apparent that XBONE is not the trainwreck people originally thought it would be and it is a solid system, to say the least. That being said, I just don't know if it's honestly superior or inferior to PS4.

Basically, I'm looking at two deals here: the XBOX One w/ Halo: Master Chief Collection for $330 and the PlayStation 4 w/ Grand Theft Auto V and Last of Us: Remastered for $400.

XBONE Deal Pros:

- Majority of my friends will be getting XBOX
- Cheaper
- Halo multiplayer is pretty fun

XBONE Deal Cons:

- I can't stand the XBOX interface, from what I've seen

PS4 Deal Pros:

- I prefer the Sony interface, menu screen, etc.
- Objectively better graphics, if I'm not mistaken
- I love GTA (that being said, I already own it on PS3 and rarely play it anymore)

PS4 Deal Cons:

- I would have zero friends to play with

I realize that this is a decision I have to make on my own, but does anyone here have any input or recommendations?

As tempting as it is to come on here and type something about it being so hard to find Internet service when you're at the hospital 24/7 looking after my comatose mother, that's not the case. I am healthy and so is my family so thank you for your concern.

Some of you just aren't thinking clearly here, though. In the last month, Grand Theft Auto V was released, Breaking Bad had its final episodes, high school has started up again, new NFL season began, etc. It's not that I'm just watching a bunch of WWE and then not posting on the new forum. It's that I haven't watched any recently due to lack of time.

I'm still pretty busy and probably won't become a regular face around here again for a while. Maybe I'd be more compelled to watch if anything was happening right now other than the destruction of the once-brilliant Daniel Bryan storyline. But I will be back eventually on the new forum, I assure you that. My apologies for my inactivity.
