@spartanx169x: It is evidenced by the constantly shortening queue times for people playing the game. 2 months ago queue times were on average 5-10 minutes for matches and in the last 3 weeks I don't think I've waited more than 5 minutes for a single match and I usually wait 3 or less. As far what EPIC being known for making I don't see how that is relevant. The last UT game was a long time ago and they are more well known for their Unreal Engine than they are the games they make. Also, ranged characters =/= shooters. All MOBA's have characters that use ranged primary attacks, just because the game is 3rd person now doesn't mean that it all of a sudden its a shooter mechanic not a MOBA one. All the shooting in Paragon is single click shooting just like it would be in any MOBA. As far as if Paragon is a financial success I honestly couldn't tell you for sure since the game is still in Beta and is going to be free at launch, but since there are plenty of things for whales to spend money on if they want and I tend to see people with paid skins often I would imagine it isn't doing horribly. Time will tell though I imagine.
@spartanx169x: You are basing the success of a game on the number of comments on a gamespot article? Ok that is just hilarious. The majority of GS articles go without having many comments on them unless they are hot button topics or reviews for games that people want to complain about, but you are right on one thing. The majority of people don't know what Paragon is and have very little interest to find out. Kind of like you. Of all the characters in the game only 5(thats 20% not a majority) of them could be considered shooters. All of the others are focused around melee or ability usage or support. The fact that the player base continues to grow for the game shows they must be doing something right though for a game in beta still. lol
@spartanx169x:Just because you don't like the game doesn't mean nobody likes it. Unless of course you think your opinion is the whole of the gaming community at large(which would be hilarious if you really thought that). Neither game is meant to be fast paced like a shooter, they are both MOBA's with different camera angles. With Paragon not being a shooter at all.
If you have only played one match then you know nothing about either game. Battleborn didn't fail it sold decently well and still has a albeit small, but fairly active playerbase and this one isn't showing signs of failing any time soon. In fact queue times in Paragon on average are shorter than my queue times waiting for a match for Overwatch so it must doing fairly well from an activity standpoint.
