Colin - When I went to the GameSpot website at first it brought me to a mobile site for iphone I had to scroll to the bottom to lick to go to the actual full site.

Well I am in the apple store still posting from an iPad. I explained to an employee that I found it and want to try and return it. He looked up the serial # and turns out it was never registered, and did not have any contacts in it either.

He told me I can keep it and helped me register it, he then gave me a free $25 dollar itunes gift card for being kind and trying to return it to it's owner.

I dont know I feel really bad kind of. I am going to bring it to the apple store see what they can do to find the owner.

I am still in shock, I dont know what to do. If I should just keep it and go home or if I should bring it back to the apple store.

This is crazy! I just left the apple store on 5th ave I went to mess with the iPads and when I was about to go through the turn style to board a train home I kicked an ipod by mistake (I didn't see it) So sure enough I picked it up.

I am posting from it now, I'm still 3 blocks from the apple store on 5th ave.

I think I am just going to go ahead and keep the iPod. I'm already stressed out with this issue a bit, with Apple not wanting anything to do with it they basically told me they didn't want the serial number and that it wouldn't be worth it for me or them (Apple) to return it to the owner that it'd be too much hassle for both parts. All they could tell me was to return it to an Apple Store lost & found which I don't have the time or money to get out there just to return an iPod.

I know I'll probably get some nasty comments about how I should probably drop it off at the lost & found with the Transit System but, I just don't trust them to return it. So I'm just gonna keep it I suppose and use it for myself.
