I got one myself, its a nice system with some neat features. The system badly needs some 3rd party support for games though. The upcoming titles for the 3DS i have to admit looks a bit nicer.
The Vita has some nice import games (which is actually the main reason i bought the system) but it sucks that most of the good games are not being brought over to the states. Luckily i can read Japanese so that's not a problem, but importing games is hella expensive.
The price on the system and the memory cards are quite high, but tolerable; what the system needs to succeed is some big, exclusive titles. 3DS getting the new Monster Hunter game for example is gonna be HUGE for the system (that game is like crack)
You can tell he didn't even play the game. This is about as kid-friendly a JRPG as you will get. Its like letting your kid watch any Mahou Shoujo anime. Yea the girls in those shows have fancy costumes and short skirts, but there's zero sexualization or sexual-innuendo.
news flash: this series is not relayed to Neptunia, which is like the polar opposite.
@breticles. The amount of souls he has there isn't too unusual. There is a very quick and easy farming method for souls once you get the Covenant of Artoris that lets you open the sealed door in darkroot basin. Once you open the door there, there are a bunch of NPC's that are basically part of the forest hunter covenant. If you are not part of that covenant they will aggro you. They tend to give about 2-4k souls each. There is a very simple farming method where you aggro a bunch of them, then run to the cliff by the stairs. They will run up the stairs, fall on your head then fall off the cliff. Very fast and easy way to farm souls from mid-game on. (you can find out exactly how to do this on youtube if your unsure by how i described it) Its a good idea to stop in this area and farm souls for a bit, kind of like how in demon souls everyone farmed the reaper in 4-2. Also the ring of favor comes from killing Laurtec (guy trapped in a cell on the way to bell gargoyles) (either immediately or by invading his world in anor londo). Imo unless you want his armor (which isn't that good), you might as well kill him now. immediately and get the ring.
@Breticles, hes probably running a heavy end/vit build and has ring of favor (+20% hp,stam, equip burden). and hes probably higher level than you as well. You definitely don't need that much HP (unless you plan on PvPing alot), but endurance is a stat that should definitely be leveled quite a bit as it helps everyone.
Highly recommend Quelaggs fury sword. Alot of enemies are weak to fire, the only noticable exceptions where i switched out my Quelaggs was against demon centipede i think. Don't really need a heavy dex build for it since the dex scaling is actually quite poor, but the fire portion of it is huge. If your a pyro, its like having a combustion on all your regular attacks
@gamer65926592 Honestly your not missing much, the armor set that you get from him if you don't kill him immediately and instead kill him by invading his world at Anor Londo is pretty meh. You will almost undoubtedly have better armor by then (If you use heavy armor like me, black iron set could already be gotten before then, if you like medium, you can get ornsteins armor after killing him in anor londo as well). I actually wish i killed him instead of letting him go because getting that ring early on can actually make a bigger difference imo. Unlike his crappy armor, its a very good ring.
Havels Ring + Darkwood Grain Ring (kill shiva's ninja bodyguard after joining the forest hunters covenant - this will break the covenant though) is a pretty nice combo. If you have good endurance, it lets you wear heavy armor and move and the fastest movespeed + gives you the flipping animation instead of the roll animation (faster recovery, more distance covered) Very strong combo for fighting bosses since you get good defense AND good evasion.
