You should just take your 360 to the place where you bought it. Well, call first, see if they have any in stock, and if so, just do the exchange right there. It didn't take but 10 minutes... PLUS, I got an extra $50 back because of the price drop. If you want to wait a month and a half, well... that's your choice.

Okay. Sorry if this has been repeated, but I don't feel like reading through all the off-topic crap. I'm pretty sure MS gives a standard, 1 year, manufacturer warranty. My Xbox360 was being retarded with the 'Play DVD' error. My 1 year warranty through Gamecrazy expired, and they told me that I had a 1 year warranty through MS, so... You probably have the same thing. Now, instead of sending it in, waiting 5 years to get it back, you may be able to take it up to the place where you bought it, and have them give you a brand new one. That's what happened for me. Just as a side note, you need to take everything that came in the box, controller, av cables, hd, power brick, power cord, etc.

What exactly made this 'new system' of selling new games take effect anyways? What was the wrong with the old way? and I should also mention that when I took my GTA: VCS back to gamestop and told them to give me a real new one, they did so, fully shrink wrapped and all, that makes me think they are trying to sell used products for new prices to any would be sucker available. This may not be the case, but you should see where I am coming from as a consumer buying a nasty game like that when it is supposed to be new.

[QUOTE="RedEcksThree"]

Just because Gamestops 'store policy' says that every game they sell for new is new is a bunch of b.s. I remember buying Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories 'Brand New'. It was pre-opened and it looked like it had lotion all over the actual disc. I took it back and the employee said 'We open them up to test them'... It's not hard to buy ONE game, and put that ONE case up for display.

Edit: And I also remember back when you bought a 'new' game from gamestop, you didn't take the case or whatever up to the counter. You told them 'I want (insert game name here)' and they were like 'Okay,' *goes behind counter, up on a shelf behind them, back in storage room, wth ever*, Bamb...shiny 'visibly new' game.

UnderTheIce

You definatly got lied to. Do you know how much time would be wasted if every title had to have a copy pulled out and tested? That's BS.

lol I know it was a lie. Even if they had tested it, how was there lotion on it? Were they playing it in the bathroom after applying hemroid cream? I mean come on. It was either lotion or glue on the actual disc, not the plastic protective piece, but under it. I didn't look at it before I left the store, because it was supposed to be "Brand New", so I figured it should be a "brand new" game.

What was wrong with the old system of ONE dummy case? Why did it have to change? Sure, the employees had to run back and forth OCCASIONALLY, but if there was a huge release, they should have games stocked behind the counter. It's not like gamestop is ever 'OMGWTFBBQ' packed unless Halo 3 or something has came out, so it's not like they'd have to be constantly walking. I was in gamestop the other day, and the employee was just sitting there playing one of the damn games on display because I Was the only one there.
