Hello there everybody. I found some time on the PC just now because we're pretty much done with all the packing today. It was less work than I figured it would be, but then again, all the "heavy lifting" will begin tomorrow. Yay. Anyway, I just finished reading the blog of a friend (yes you, Mudkip), and saw that he posted a very interesting questionnare concerning Gamespot, which he copied from another user's post (Cloud765). After finishing it, I decided to make my own version of it, mostly because I have nothing better to do at the moment. :P So here it is:

1. What was the first union you joined?

I believe that was the Christian Gamers Union, which isn't very active at all right now. I didn't join any unions until very recently though.

2. Were you originally a union poster, a blog commentor, or a main forum poster and has that changed now?

I originally was a poster in various forums of several games, such as Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2007 for the PS2, and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 for the PS2 (a forum which I still visit). That has changed a decent bit now, as I also write blogs, make comments, do occassional reviews, and visit unions.

3. Who was your first friend on Gamespot and are they still active?

Uh...well, that's a good question. My first friend that I made was on TV.com, which is a sister-site to Gamespot if I'm not mistaken, so my friends list from there carried over to GSpot. His username was Ross_99, and I don't think he's been active for a very long time now on either site. In terms of strictly GSpot...I have hardly a clue, lol.

5. What is your favorite level/rank and did/have you achieved it yet?

I actually quite like my rank now, Karnov. But I don't know about the titles of future ranks, and I make it a point not to find out, purely because I like being surprised at the new title when I reach a new rank. I'm quite looking forward to rank 50 though, for the prestige.

6. Did you ever want to become a mod, have you been one, and do you still want to be one?

You know, there have been a lot of times when I wished that I was a mod, but I've never really wanted to take on the responsibity, lol. It would turn Gamespot into a chore, and that's something I always tried to avoid, whether it be by not posting out of a sense of obligation or by any other means.

7. Are there any stats on Gamespot you generally find interesting, and if so, which ones?

Hmm...I always liked keeping track of all the games in my collection and checking their estimated value, and recently I just noticed my all-time post count, which is about 9500 or so. Almost to 10,000!

8. Has the way you act changed since you joined the site?

Heck yes, actually. I've become more adept at witty comebacks and I now find humor in many things that I previously may not have found to be funny at all. So...thanks a lot, GS. :P I also learned how to better vebally defend myself, which is unfortunately necessary on some forums.

9. What were you most interested in when you joined, and what are you currently interested in now?

I was mostly interested in the forum-talk as well as hearing other peoples' opinions on the same game that I was playing. Now I'm interested in a ton of things, such as the official reviews, my friends' activity, union chatter, etc.

10. What originally made you join Gamespot?

I initially joined to check out the forums for several games.

11. Are there any users you miss?

Yes, one in particular, by the username of yellowshinygold...she was banned. I met her on the Crash Team Racing forums and we ended up exchanging a ton of PMs back and forth, and one day she just vanished. I haven't heard from her since, but I await her coming back, which I assume she will do some day unless something happened to her that I'm not aware of. :?

12. Is there any user you'd want to spend a day with in real life?

Wow, so many. MudkipMaster30, SupClayton, yellowshinygold, cornerback3, personeyperson, WtFDragon, Munky321, Off_da_Border, JBear427...the list goes on and on. Odds are that if you're on my friends list, I'd want to spend a day with you. ;)

13. Have you been moderated, how many times and how severe were the consequences?

I've had random posts here and there get deleted for no explained reason, and I didn't even receive notification about it, so it wasn't anything major. The worst thing was when I was once moderated for "advertising" a petition concerning the NFSseries on a whole lot of different forums, lol. Once I posted about the petition in the forums for Test Drive Unlimited, I was moderated and received a 3-day ban from Gamespot if I recall correctly.

14. Are/have you been a paying subscriber?

No, and I have no interest in ever becoming one in the future. Not enough benefits, really.

15. If Gamespot was a food what would it taste like?

Lol...well, I think it would be rather like a pizza. It's great most of the time and it's kind of like a comfort food, but if you eat it too often or too much at one time, you'll get sick.
