Borderlands

Finally after weeks of waiting, I have got my internet back up and running at full speed. During that time though I found myself playing an unhealthy amount of Borderlands. One of the best games I've played on the Xbox so far!!

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to get level 61.

Full achievements on 26 games.

For anyone who hasn't come under the eerily powerful pull of the Xbox achievement hunting, then this won't mean much to you but after 3 years I have finally got the last achievement for DooM.

My grand total is now at 26 (I will not play Avatar for an easy 1000, that's cheating.) The list now stands at,

  1. Assassins Creed 2
  2. Call of Duty 2
  3. Call of Duty 4
  4. Condemned :Criminal Origins
  5. Crystal Defenders
  6. CSI
  7. DooM
  8. DooM 2
  9. Duke Nukem 3D
  10. Duke Nukem M P
  11. Elder Scrolls 4
  12. Fallout 3
  13. Interpol
  14. King Kong
  15. Lego Indiana Jones
  16. Mass Effect
  17. Mass Effect 2
  18. Mini Ninja
  19. Monkey Island
  20. Monkey Island 2
  21. Sam & Max save the world
  22. Sega Mega Drive Collection
  23. Sonic the Hedgehog
  24. Sonic the Hedgehog 3
  25. Uno
  26. Wolfinstien 3D

I'm back.

I think the title says it all to be honest. I'm back from my Holiday. To too make things worse, I now have 236 e-mails to read. This is what happens when you don't read them for a whole week!

My most and least wanted games, part 1

With some new gaming announcements over the past few weeks, it has got me thinking about the games that I myself am looking forward to, and the ones I really couldn't careless about over the next 12 months.

Here is my own personal top3 for the next twelve months, or aleast for the timing being.

3. Fallout new Vegas...Fallout 3 was easily the best game of 2008 and it wouldn't be an understatement to say that it is one of the best games of all time. So when Bethesda announced a sequel of sorts, it became almost impossible not to become excited about the prospect of returning to the barren wastelands of America. With the promise of new game play modes and general improvements in all areas, it never too early to nominate this for game of the year.

2. Legend of Zelda Wii...Anyone who says that the Wii is value for money needs to have their head examined. With a total of only 3 good games over its 3 and a half year history, the Wii clearly needs a kick up the a** with a steel toecap boot. Zelda could be the boot as long as it doesn't have thousands of minigames that require wiggling the remote and a family of smiley happy people playing it.

Please make it stop

(Above) Please God don't let this happen to Zelda!!!

1. Gears of War 3...I never liked the first GoW, mainly because it felt dark, dull and very poorly written in terms of both script and story. Then just last April, I pick up a second hand copy of GoW 2 and was completely blown away. It had been improved in every area and increased the humour with the likes of Cole Train and his little rant on a microphone. Little is known about number 3 at the moment but as long as it follows in number 2 footsteps, it should be brilliant fun to play.

That is my current top 3 and no doubt as time goes by the list will increase tenfold, but for now, that will do.

An update.

This is my first blog in...well years. So I have decided to quick update on my gaming. Since my last post I purchased a PS3 which has accumulated as much dust as the Wii now as I still prefer the Xbox. I have completed 100% achievements on 10 retail and 8 arcade titles, andI still accept pretty much any friend requests.

Old games

For some reason I set up my N64 yesterday, i don't know why but i started playing it again!!

Goldeneye still feels fresh and playing Zelda Oot and MM on the N64 instead of the Gamecube feels completely different! Playing classic games like Mario 64 and F-Zero X helps me to remember why i got the N64 in the first place.

It just proves that graphics don't make the game. Anyway i hoping to get my Mega Drive working again soon.
