That's the most disappointing news I've heard yet. The last thing I want is BC3. BC2 was a complete joke - I hated the consolish feel of the game, the cramped maps, strange hit detection, etc. I sure hope it's truer to BF2 and the classics.

BC2 had perfect hit detection compared to BF2, which had some of the worst hit detection and network code I have ever experienced in a multiplayer FPS.

This is coming from someone who played BF2 extensively.

VVVVVV just released an update, it's now in C++ instead of flash and there's now a level editor. He added in like 10 levels, one of which was made by Notch.

Oh and how many of you have done Veni Vidi Vici? I've gotten to the top like 10 times but can never make it back to the bottom.

I got pretty close on the way down once...haven't beat it yet though.

Does that mean retail BF3 will be activated on origin?

I've been looking around, but I haven't found a sure answer. Thinking about preordering a retail copy tomorrow.

Most likely that's how your game will be udpated + access to your Battlelog.

Currently alpha users have to launch their game from a freaking internet browser. :|, that about sums up my reaction to that.

I don't want to just get in there to play the game.

I want to get into the alpha so I can find bugs and report them and help figure out what needs balancing.

Changes are more likely to be implemented during Alpha.

Perhaps. But unlike some other MMOs I thought about trying (Rift, being a recent example), I got a good vibe from TOR. There will likely be your typical Day 1 issues, of course.
