Resident Evil: Conspiracy Part 10

"Whoa!  Look at this," Adam said as he held out a piece of paper for us all to read.  It was a printout of an email.  The top read "Tyrant."  The paper said:

"Considering the circumstances, I think it best that Umbrella release two Tyrants to deal with any unruly survivors who know too much, mostly as a combat test.  As our mole in the hospital, make sure our doctors working there get out alive Eugene.  We'll be releasing them soon, so be quick about it."

My heart sank.  Pat's face gained a look of absolute horror, as I'm sure my face did as well.  "Eugene was my husband's name.  He was the only Eugene in the hospital.  He was an Umbrella mole?  Why didn't he warn me?" Jamie questioned us as she almost started crying.  But, she pulled herself together.  "Well, I guess this isn't his fault if they sent him an email warning him," she said.

Mine and Pat's faces are still frozen in fear.  "What's wrong?  What's a Tyrant?" Adam asked us.  "A Tyrant is Umbrella's ultimate B.O.W.  It is nearly invincible, and can impale and slice almost anyone and anything with it's claw.  It's almost unstoppable.  Short version, we're ****ed," Pat says in an almost whisper.  Adam goes pale.  Jamie looks taken aback.

Suddenly our radio crackles.  "Help!  Tyrant!  Need support!  Gah!"  It's Jason's voice.  "Are you alright?  Jason!  James!" Rick's voice yells.  There is no answer.  "Everyone!  Check in!" We hear Mark and Craig respond.  Me and Pat do the same.  "Okay.  So everyone's fine but Jason and James.  They're on the third floor, near the entrance to the parking garage, last I knew anyway.  Let's meet there," Rick concludes.

We all grab our stuff, and head to the stairs.  I open the door, and we head up to the third floor.  I open the third door floor partially, and peek in.  No movement.  Just a lot of blood.  The rest of the team is meeting by a corner.  I open the door the rest of the way, and we all head through.  "So.  You found some survivors.  Good work.  That should earn you some recognition," Rick says.  I turn the corner everyone is at, and I almost vomit.

The whole hallway leading to the entirely broken doorframe to the garage is soaked with blood and gore.  I look back and see Jason's body on the floor with a huge hole through the stomach, and his head lying three feet away.  James, well we don't see any of him but his legs.  Dear God.

"Well, we have a Tyrant to deal with," Rick solemnly says as he heads toward the doorway.  We all follow him through, weapons ready and fully loaded.  I take the rear, backing up to close the circle on my side.  We all scan around us, and I finally see it behind a parked car.  The Tyrant has an arm sticking out of its mouth, and it is huddled over the top half of James' body.  I yell to the rest of the team, and they all turn around.

The Tyrant looks at me and tenses up.  It lets out a roar, and almost unseeably fast, charges at us.  I sidestep just in time, but the Tyrant puts out its right arm and punches me in the chest so hard as to send me flying ten feet back into the windshield of a parked car.  It shatters under my impact, and I get off the hood and aim at the Tyrant's head as it goes to charge again.  I let of eight rounds and its head slightly goes to the right as my rounds hit the left side of its face.  It turns toward me and again charges at me.

This time I'm ready.  I lunge to my right as the Tyrant impales the car's engine through the hood.  It pulls out its claw as the rest of the team unloads everything at it.  I turns around, and I remember my C4.  I look at the parked car and the trant lunges clotheslining Pat, but just before it can stab him, he rolls over and it misses by an inch.  It looks angry and turns and punches Craig who is right behind him.  Craig flies back twenty feet and hits the ground with a loud thud as his weapon skips across the floor.

It's about to charge Craig when I unload my whole clip into its back.  It turns around and I yell "Over here big boy!"  It almost looks like it smiles when it uses its speed to trie to impale me again, but I jump out of the way and watch it get its arm even more stuck than before in the engine.  I stand up and pull out my detonator.  I push the button, and the car explodes in a massive fiery ball knocking me over.  I look up, and see that the car took the Tyrant with it.
