I look at the creature, and then Ben and say "Nice moves." "Thanks. I've been practicing on the bags," he responds. I look around. All I see is a desk, the door out, another hallway ahead, and the hallway we came from. "Well, we have our way out. Let's check our ammo and move," Rick commands. I and the rest of the team and the civilians reload.
With full clips, we head out the door. Thankfully, all the zombies are on the other side of the hospital at the crash site except for three. We easily bypass them without firing any shots to warn other zombies of our presence. We head into a street with abondoned cars all over the place. Including several police cars and a SWAT van. There are signs of a large firefight all over. "Dear God. They never stood a chance," Pat whispers.
Continuing along the street, we reach an area with several zombies blocking an alley Rick says is the way to the station. We quickly all open fire on the zombies, and they drop like flies. We proceed down the alley at a cautious pace to make sure there aren't any more zombies. Suddenly, a zombie breaks through a door right infront of me. I try to step back, but it grabs me and tries to bite my neck. I quickly let my G36C drop on its sling and draw my knife. I pierce the creature's skull and brain and it goes limp and collapses.
I resheath my knife and ready my weapon. Soon, we reach the back door of a building, and Rick stops at it. He examines it closely. "What is it?" Jamie asks. "The rest is worn off, but from what I see, it looks like a gunshop. Bring it in team, we need to restock on ammo and rest for a while," Rick answers her waving us forward.
We all head toward the door as Rick pushes it open. We quickly sweep the large room and find it to be clear. Mark pushes open the door to the back of the counter and picks up several boxes of 7.62x51mm high velocity rounds for his G3 and places them on the counter. He also picks up several boxes of 5.56mm ammo and throws them onto the counter. Some 10mm S and W rounds, some 12 gauge shotgun shells, some .357 rounds, and we all busy ourselves checking and fully topping off our magazines while Adam puts rounds into his belt and pockets while Jamie just shoves the whole box worth of rounds in her pocket.
