No, Brotherhood is essentially Assassin's Creed 2.5. It just finishes the story of Ezio in AC2.

Received an email from MyCrysis about this yesterday, but been reading on the site that only a select few who signed up for the beta from the email will get in (basically first come first serve). Not been impressed by the game at all but If I do manage to get in I'll actually be able to get a feel for the game myself.

Edit: Also Crytek are calling it a tech test instead of a beta on the site.

It's a decent idea, whether it would be implemented properly is a whole new question. I doubt it has even come across their minds though so it probably won't happen.
