It could fit into a movie. Granted anyone would be interested in making a movie of a generic sci and stupid sci fi story. One of the best, but I think Uncharted 2 would suit a movie experience better as it is more confined and has a more cohesive narrative. Mass Effect is certainly cinematic, but many things that make the universe so great would have to be sacrificed in order to make it a movie. The story is far too large in scope for even the first game to be a single movie, let alone the sequel

Ugh....no dude just no. I think that Uncharted 2 captures that cinematic experience perfectly.I have always wanted a epic movie experience in a game but done with game play not just CGI since I am playing a game after all. I have never seen a game trying to give that experience ever really pull it off though. Some games try to give that feeling like MGS4 or Heavy Rain but really you just are watching a movie. In ME2 you really can never put down your controller/keyboard because the few pure cutscenes there is are fairly short. The longest cutscene I guess is towards the end but you have to fights in the middle to even break that up. Even in the conversations you are still choosing what is said and most times how it is said.
The music, cimematics and writting just gives ME2 such a epic movie experience but still there is a ton of gameplay.

Uncharted 2 is a better game...... While Uncharted 2 is a great game (on ch.19 as we speak) I found Mass Effect 2 to be the over all better game. The Critics agree that UC2 is a better game. They may be totally different games but UC2 is better no contest.[QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"][QUOTE="-Snooze-"]
In ME2 you customize your character and his party, you level up abilities. You make story based choices. You research upgrades, it has multiple endings.
In UC2 you can shoot people, punch peopleand climb at given intervals.
ME2 is far more a TPS/RPG hybrid, then UC2 is a platformer/TPS hybrid

Ok i exagarated a little, but in the beggining i scaned every planet in every system and the only land mission was one with the ship. So it's not true that you can actually explore every planet you scan. In ME at least it was more fun with the Mako.
And i have played the game i posted proof multiple times.
That's not even close to the truth. The PC version looks almost the same as the 360 version. Bioware didn't want to make the PC version stand out much, i mean when I'm running a game on 120fps you know theres something wrong. My PC version of Mass Effect 2 on max settings destroys Uncharted 2 on every level. I can't believe how many sheep follow the Uncharted 2 band. Go ahead and play with your generic characters and boring story. PC gamers get the best of it.

Rerash it if you will
Awesome story, presenetaion, gameplay, story paths, expansive world, and fun to play. I ask myself the same question about MGS4 though. themyth01
The world is not that expansive. Scanning planets is not my idea of an expansive world.
Right.......which are planets you can land on.
Out of maybe the 200 planets i scanned i could only land on one of them, the thing with the derelict ship. They can't. They can't even explain whats so good about the first one. It was another generic sci fi setting, but it worked, there is a thousand possibilities for a main plot, and they went for the typical bioware cliche. An ancient evil has returned oh no.Can someone explain to me what the hell is so good about ME2's story?
This game would be amazing if they had a decent story and if the loyalty missions didn't feel so similar/generic.

Mass Effect 2 is a great looking game with superb character models. But the overal package concerning environmental textures, glitches (for lack of a specific term), and polish, it's not up there.

Yet you put MGS4 up there? Something doesn't add up here ...
Didn't MGS4 won best graphics in GS awards 2008? Over Stalker CS?I agree TC considering the hype it was the most disapointing game i have ever played.
