I thought SOC was awesome when it first came out. Played through it quite a few times and it's even better with some of the mods out there. I never liked CS though, just didn't really seem to improve on SOC at all. I havn't played COP yet but I've heard it isn't very good, I might pick it up later when it comes down in price though.

This game was announced at E3 2005 with a lot of work already shown, and ALAN was in development even longer than that! Max Payne 2 came out in 2003...this game has probably been in development for 7-8 years.:shock:

It's a Remedy game, and it's using the 360 power to the absolute fullest. They have toiled and toiled away to make this game shine for years. Poor Uncharted 2 only got 2 years of love, that's where Wake's advantage is! It's probably the oldest console game in development that's still coming out, followed by Splinter Cell and GT5.

It's being called the Killzone 2, Crysis, and Uncharted 2 graphics killer by so many people longing for it...we all expect great things! :)

ALAN WAIT...WAKE is going to be a wake up call to the graphics, pixel counting community. It's only for the XBOX 360, and it's going to use that hardware to the fullest. The PC port was cancelled to ensure SUPER DUPER 360 graphics.

It's not out yet, but we will see how this will play out. I've seen 40+ graphics killer Alan Wake threads in the last month alone, I can't WAKE for this game!!!

One hit wonder like GOW3 (for example). 1 playthrough of GOW3 and ur done. no online, no co-op, no splitscreen, no rpg elements, nothing to keep you going. just a option of "restart game? 'x' are you sure? 'x".

Does 1 epic playthrough of the game make it worth $60? in this day and age thats a rip off. and i feel that mostly its the PS3 that produces the most single player only games. not even split screen so it doesnt expose that split screen will graphicly downgrade their games and that the ps3 is not a beast of a console sony markets it to be with teh cell.

360 on the other had focuses on the fun factor and replability of their games. games like halo, left 4 dead, gears of war...all with online AND split screen. now thats what i call money well spent.

the only games that is ok to stick with being single player are RPGs, because their just plain addicting but it should be long.
