I'm planning on getting a Pokemon game soon but I'm not sure of the one I want to buy. Should I get Pokemon: Diamond or Pokemon: Pearl.

I want your opinion because my friends tell me they're both great games. I don't know of any differences, but if there are, would you kind people be nice enough to tell me? Thanks in advance.
