Im looking to speed up my personal laptop (Dell Inspiron 1405) to be more fit for online gaming and was wondering if anyone could give me good tips on what I should buy. Im thinking a new hard drive, processor, and video card but im not really sure what would be the best fit at a reasonable price.

Hearing things like "i hope the Empire State building falls while full of Americans" is the only problem I have with freedom of speech. They should make a new amendment to counter things said like this that reads something like "Freedom to Implant Fist in Face After Hearing Sick and Disparaging Comments About America"

They're arguing sex in a video game. It's like arguing sex in a movie. You can say mass effect was geared towards kids all you want, but it does have a mature rating strapped onto it. It didn't disobey any laws. I remember when total recall came to DVD. I even remember seeing it as a kid, I thought it was pretty much geared towards me. It's rated R. I saw it still, at parents consent because of its rating. It had boobs. But the movie wasn't criticized for anything. Because it followed the well established rating system we have in place for movies. Much like Mass effect did in games. The REASON sex is in there, as it is in any form of media is because it's something people are interested in. IT HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE. It's part of being a human. YOU WOULDNT BE HERE WITHOUT SEX. You can hide your kids from it forever if you'd like. But if that's the case then dont let them own Mass Effect. I'm sure they'll learn one day what their tools are used for.

And yes, I know my train of thought is all over the place. I was heavily multitasking. But my point is, you can't avoid sex. You can only take measures to hide it. And those measures were taken, and utilized properly.

You can bash me all you want for my opinion on the argument, but that was not my original point. The point was that Fox News shouldnt have people saying things like "lets send them emails to tell them they report stupidity and lies" and "the fox news anchor that reported this should be in the next hitman." I seriously hate ignorant people like that. Media reports the news. Get off their back for doing their job

Finally, stop telling me FOX News is fair and balanced. They are owned by Rupert Murdoch, a man who spent millions to tear down the Clintons, with moderate success. One of their key newscasters is a former chairman of the RNC. Others are often subsitituted for with former and current Republican congressman. And we cannot forget that another former newscaster left FNC to become the current administration's White House Press Secretary. That doesn't make them unfair, but they are clearly biased. In fairness, they are also the most entertaining, because they repeatedly do what was done here: they sensationalized the issue at hand with poor journalistic credibility techniques to gain and hold an audience.

Chemistian

Your entitled to your own opinion on the first two so im not going to touch that. If you would actually watch Fox News, you would know that on practically every political story they cover has both Reps and Dems are invited to give both sides of the argument. To say otherwise is ignorant. And what does Rupert Murdoch owning the station have anything to do with it? Speaking of being biased look at all the other national media organizations that are operated by Liberals. To say that they have "poor journalistic credibility techniques" blows my mind. Two words to rebuttle that : Dan Rather. If i do recall, someone had to openly apologize for discrediting our President. So trying to belittle one media organization when there are so many others who are guilty is ignorant.

[QUOTE="Revolver8"]How is Fox News at fault for bringing up a story that should be debated? Its stupid for the retard poster of this topic to try and pin blame on a news organization who merely brings up a topic that affects society. First off, promote your liberal propoganda in a political forum, not on here. Secondly, sex in video games is pointless. Only losers who are in their moms basement doing you know what are profiting from this perversion. Leave it out is all im saying. Ive played the game and overall its great other than that. Games are supposed to be enjoyable for everyone, not teaching young kids and teens (who this game is marketed towards) about sexuality. That is a parents job. Leave it out and this wont be an issue.

Thank you for your opinion, albeit a dense point of view. In addition, somewhat hypocritical if you ask me. Your first point is for the OP to promote his liberal propaganda in a political forum. That's all fine and good. Might even be a valid point. Now here's where the hypocrisy comes in - your second point is that sex in video games is pointless and you go on to support it with meaningless opinionated information. Now you're just as guilty as the OP with pushing an opinionated statement. Would it be fair for me to say to promote your conservative viewpoints somewhere else? Besides, you're missing the big picture. I agree, Fox News should bring up debatable stories that may impact society. HOWEVER, they should have a balanced debate. The only supporter of the game was shunned off the interview early. The "debate panel" in the second half of the story was 100% biased against video games with clearly no factual information about the game at hand, thereby providing an unbalanced point of view. In addition, it's also about government censorship and the freedom of speech.

Next time you criticize and insult someone for sharing an opinion, be sure you follow your own advice so you don't devalue your point through hypocrisy.

Thats a fair analysis. Yes I am a proud conservative, but I disagree with you calling me hypocritical. I was mereley stating that sort of thing should be for a political forum and not the xbox 360 forum, sorry if it was taken the wrong way. But I think that once the topic is brought up with one opinion, someone must defend the other side. Back to the point: I dont belive that whatever side of the political spectrum you fall under is a factor in judging this issue. I have friends (both conservative AND liberal) that would agree with me on this. Sex and nudity just doesnt belong in video games. Period. And my original point (even if i did get carried away) was that I think it is wrong to try and accuse the news corporation of "stupidity and lies." Every news organization out there is biased one way or another and it is supid for someone to attack one in particular. For those who watch Fox News regularly, they know that they are balanced on most of the issues they cover. Its crazy and ignorant to catogorize them as unfair
