They've been a shadow of their former glory for years. They're not pathetic per se, but they are something of a joke. Publishing games like Alpha Protocol and The Conduit and releasing rehash after rehash of poor 3D sonic games.

They should release a new proper shining force. Not an action rpg, a strategy one like they were in the beginning.

Chemical_Viking

Agreed. Especially with the opening sentence.

For the past year, I've found that my passion for gaming has declined. I find that I play my consoles less frequently (often ignoring them for weeks at a time), and that my overall enjoyment of gaming is merely a shadow of what it formerly was. I am less enthusiastic about gaming altogether, and find that I am only able to engage in an activity that I was obsessed with in the past in short bursts.

It's slightly depressing that my favourite past-time no longer interests me, and the stack of uncompleted games that sit on my shelves gathering dust are an indication of this. I hope that perhaps this is only a "phase", and that I will fall in love with gaming again. However, maybe this is a sign that it's time for me to deliver my final headshot online and wind up my controllers. :(

Personally, the Metal Gear series has never failed to captivate me and grasp my interest. Although at times the Metal Gear universe can be batsh*t crazy and gives me a headache even attempting to comprehend what the hell is happening, I think that the storylines and characters that have been produced from this iconic gaming series are both unique and full of personality.

In my opinion, and undoubtedly the opinion of many fans, the Metal Gear series breathes life yet. However, we are all aware of the fine line that separates healthy continuation of a series and continuation for the sake of milking every penny possible from a series.

I tend to avoid games that focus on the Puzzle / RTS / JRPG genre. However, I wouldn't say that I hate a genre in particular, I just prefer certain genres above others.

I've created (and eventually abandoned) several PSN IDs in the past. By the time I registered my current PSN ID, I had a shortage of names that I wanted to be recognized by online, thus I decided to take an uncreative approach and stick with my actual name. ;)

In the UK, it's practically impossible NOT to stumble over a stack of outdated soccer games for the PlayStation 2.

Gaming stores have actually began refusing them for part exchange because of the simple fact that nobody wants to purchase anything other than the most recent sports titles.

Hopefully GTA: Vice City.

I absolutely loved that game, and will never be able to forgive myself for having the stupidity to sell it for a pathetic $7. :(

It seems to me that England are still overrated and/or underachieving.

But this group is so weird that you could have 3 ties and still go through.

BaraChat

My thoughts exactly. I will never understand why everybody perceives England to be one of the best soccer squads in the world. They rarely fail to disappoint at a World Cup event.

At first the constant buzzing they produced was irritating, but I've grown to ignore it and just enjoy what is happening on the pitch.

Although I'm not a soccer fan by any means, I pray that the dreaded vuvuzela remains in Africa and won't be a hindrance worldwide.
