[QUOTE="RiSkyBiZ-13"][QUOTE="Rekunta"]

[QUOTE="RiSkyBiZ-13"]So, I've been a regular smoker now for about 7 years- roughly pack a day. I always thought I could "quit whenever I want to," but let me tell you- it's NOT that simple. If I go for longer than 2 hours without a ciggarette, my hands get clammy, the back of my throat closes up, and I feel really nervous. To top it all off, the ONLY thing I can think about is having a smoke. I need to chew nicorette just to get through a plane ride, it's rediculous. Just a friendly reminder to the GS community.Rekunta

Why did you start?

Because I was a moron 14 year old kid and thought it was cool, I also didn't understand addicition at all and firmly believed that I would "quit before I got addicted."

Have you tried those addiction kits that slowly help wean you off? I hear they work pretty well.

I'll be starting a smoking cessation class soon, they perscribe all that stuff. It's just a shame I couldn't do it cold turkey, but oh well.

i've been smoking for over 12 years and i don't understand how people can get up to a pack or more a day. a pack will last me at least two days. plane rides are nothing to me. i can go quite a few hours without a cigarette. but quitting is a whole different story. when i really want to quit, i'll quit. i've done it before easily, i can do it again when i want to.dooly420

I suppose it affects some people differently than others. I highly doubt you can quit "easily" or you wouldn't still be smoking, it's unhealthy and extremely expensive.

Yeah it's a bad idea, and creepy. There's no reason a 40 year old wants to hang out at an amusement park with a 20 year old... is he giving you a ride in his icecream truck?

I think you did the right thing- not about your girlfriend but about the kids. Who cares if someone makes a comment to your girlfriend, it's not worth going to jail over. But this dude beating down little kids is inexcusable. As for continuing going to that part of the park, I'd avoid it. This person seems obviously violent, and if you don't know him there's no telling what he's capable of, and I doubt you're on his A-List right now...

Oh my ass is perfectly clean, I use toilet paper.

Wait, damnit, I meant that I don't wash my hands before I start work. Of course I wash my hands when I go to the toilet.

Lots of countries tip? BULL****. VERY VERY FEW countries tip, inside of the commonwealth or ex-commonwealth nations tipping is not part of the culture. Its highly uncommon in Europe. Its HIGHLY uncommon in Asia.

IT IS an a largely American dodad. It serves no purpose.

And by the way, thats bullcrap about waiters making their wages off of tipping, unless you are using illegal mexican immigrants or Japanese robots. There is no way that could be legal. Minimum wage means MINIMUM WAGE.

RKfromDownunder

Waiters and waitresses make approx. $3/hour. Why is this so hard to understand?
