OK I have to get something of my chest, but first a story! A friend of mines had a house partylast Saturday and he invited me to go. As a good friend I went. There was alot people, most of them I knew. I was have a good time...until the so called "DJ" show up. Mind you, my friend did not want him to "DJ" (notice the quotes) the party,hehad a good PC and sound system (my friend) so he was just going to play some music during the party and be done with it.
But the guy insisted he bring this guy to "DJ" the party. So my friend being a nice guy said "Sure why not, what do I have to lose" The come in, starts to set up, looks all right so far. Then I saw the laptop he got out, so I gave him one of these :roll:.
To explain, I come from a family of DJ, my uncle was a DJ during the 80's and 90's, his sons, aka my cousins,DJ for a living and they don't primarly use the laptop but they use the old school turntables with vinyls aka http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gramophone_record. I have little respect for people that use laptop as their primary source, but I decide to give him a chance. I was have funny, had afew of drinks, talking to my friend and other people at the party, having good conversation with beautiful female,she gave me her number8)(More on that in the next blog).
Anyways I come down to see how a friend of mine is doing, then I notice the DJ...HE WAS ASLEEP!!!! I kid you not, he was asleep on the chair that we gave him. He had music from like 9 years ago playing, everyone was giving him dirty looks, and the worst part of it, the guy was playing the music with WMP (windows media player)!!! I almost went nuts, if he had any other DJ related app on the screen, but no, WMP :x. I told my friend " Dude get that guy out of here, if you want a DJ, I call my cousin and he'll bring his ****"
So we told the guy to leave, he took his stuff and left, but before he left, he asked my friend "So who is going to pay me" AHAHAHAH!!! :x:evil::twisted: I felt like telling off the guy but we got the guy who brought him he (later we found out that same guy work for him has an advertise, he even passed out his business card :evil: )
It was about 10:00 pm when my cousin Carlos came though and made it a party. Everyone was in the basement having a good time (bout damn it), I was dance with girl I was speaking to the whole night, and couple others8). Overall it was good night butthe party ended at around 3...I had to go to work at 5....:|.
