The only way I can see God sending you to hell, is you personally reject him.123625

Then I hereby personally reject the douchebaggery that is the supposed God.

[QUOTE="killtactics"][QUOTE="RyuHayabusaX"]I don't understand what happened, Israel and Hamas are going through a 6 month truce and then Hamas decides to launch rockets into Israel. What does Hamas gain by doing this? Do they expect that they can keep launching rockets and Israel will be like "it's okay guys, you're superior and we don't mind"? Israel was the one that gave Gaza to Hamas in the first place and now Hamas is attacking them with rockets from Gaza? Israel shouldn't be killing scores of civilians, but Hamas shouldn't be complaining either because IMO they're really stupid to break the truce and not expect some retailiation. That's the thing with Israel though, if they didn't have the military power to wipe out the majority of the Middle East within a week, they'd be gone within an instant, but this whole deal is why no Muslim country like Iran will attack them b/c of the type of retaliation that Israel can strike back with. What do you guys think? RyuHayabusaX
wrong, Pakistan has Nukes...Also i think you are forgetting the israelie blockade of food and medicine as well as there expaninding illegal settlements...

How am I wrong? I didn't say that Middle East countries didn't have nukes, and I don't think that Pakistan has a lot of business to do with Israel, it's mostly Iran that keeps saying they want to wipe Israel off the map. Hamas can't be complaining though, it shouldn't be something like "I yelled at my dad and hit him and he then beats me up till my face is full of blood!", because you shouldn't be hitting your dad in the first place so you shouldn't be complaining about him punishing you, but of course in that case the blood is too much retaliation but you could have avoided it if you didn't stupidly hit him in the first place.

With this kind of stuff, they're looking for EVERY excuse they possibly can to attack each other. It's honkeytonk ridonkidonk. However, did your "father" after hundreds of years of being gone suddenly come back, smashing up the furniture, hitting your mom, and then deciding that the whole bedroom area was his? If so, I assume that you would try and retaliate in some sort of way.

[QUOTE="RicardoIII"]

Conversely, there is this - which actually makes sense:

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?

Then why call him God?

NTWrightfan

I am absolutely stunned that this "Riddle of Epicurus" is often hailed as one of the greatest, if not the greatest argument for the existence of God. Before I tackle the other charges lobbed against Plantinga's ontological argument, I want to tackle this first.

Now we can go with the first implicit assumption of this argument and assume that morals are objective and that they exist independently of God. The only way God would be able to prevent evil would to commit a gross infringement on human free will. This of course would be, in itself, evil, and possibly more evil than letting evil exist.

But let us continue onto another pitfall of this argument. By assuming that evil exists, one assumes that objective moral values exist. if one assumes this, then the moral argument, as outlined by William Lane Craig, is validated.

Premise 1: If God does not exist, objective moral values do not exist

Premise 2: Objective moral values do exist

conclusion: Therefore, God exists.

the riddle of epicurus commits suicide

...What?

Your argument makes little to no sense - If I have it right.

Why do we need God for morals? They are common sense, I don't need a book to tell me that I shouldn't cause others pain and suffering

[QUOTE="Video_Game_King"]Because secession is illegal, that's why.Video_Game_King

Haha wow - who is going to be like "NO GUYS IT'S ILLEGAL" If an area is honestly considering secession I doubt the legality of the topic based on the Government that you are seceding from is not really an issue.

Study your Civil War history.

Oooooh. So they got a nice piece of paper saying they had been a state all along - building up a military and fighting the Union says otherwise.
