If it doesn't cost anything for these students to refinance, I'm fine with that. It's pretty obvious. If you're saddled with more debt, you have less disposable income for other stuff like houses, cars, and various other products/services. You know, the shit that actually produces economic activity? Basic 101 macroeconomics.
