When I was little I loved the first Tenchu game. I was also obsessed with ninjas, so I made a list of ninja names and I liked Ricomu the most.
One game I was surprised by: Saw It's more about the atmosphere, but it was a pretty fun little game.
Mass Effect 3 and Deux Ex: Human Revolution were both amazing in my opinion; however, I'm a dessert last type guy. Play the terrible ones first.
I realize I'm just adding to the general consensus, but YES! Max Payne is great (except the movie which was terrible)
