The new gen is gonna cost us a lot...

Ok,so after checking the new E3 and looking at recent PC games requirements on sites like game-debate,I've gotta say...going for next gen is going to cost (us,of course) a lot of money...

For starters, the "best" versions-both graphics and probably gameplaywise (for most games)- of new games will be on the new generation consoles, namely PS4,XBox One and Wii U.Sooo,in order to get the best version of the games we are looking forward to,we're gonna have to go for next gen consoles. As an example,we should try to remember what happened with the Pro Evolution Soccer games on the past gen (actually, that is before the past, meaning PS2)...The PES games on PS2 after PES 2009 truly sucked in comparison to their PS3/360 versions. And I mean that they lacked way more than just gameplay. There's a pretty good chance that this will be repeated this time as well.

That said, some games are going to be only for the new consoles...enough said. You can understand the rest of this on your own.

That means that we have to spend quite the big amount for money. That's about 400 Euros* for PS4,about 500 Euros for XBox One and 300 Euros for a Wii U....although this one has plenty of packages and price varies a bit...

Now for PC...You didn't think I'd leave this out,did you? It's a fact that PC gaming can be a great substitute for console gaming.HOWEVER...many of our favourite franchises as well as new games, are not (being) ported to PC (especially fighting ones).A few good examples : Tekken,Ninja Gaiden,Dead Or Alive,Metal Gear,Kingdom Hearts, almost every Anime-related game.

Here is another thought I had after checking the more recent (and future) games requirements on game-debate; Our PCs are in for HUGE upgrades...if you haven't checked the recent games requirements,I suggest you do so.You'll be surprised. Now,as you should understand,PC upgrades or better yet new builds,require.....that's right,money...a lot of money...

Here is my case (as an example).See if you can relate yourselves to it;

[ I have a desktop with the following specs.

CPU : Intel Pentium G860 3.00 Ghz (dual core)

RAM : 4 Gigs

GPU : Nvidia GeForce 630 GT 1GB DDR3

OS : Vista Home Premium 32 bit (goddamit...)

You need very little knowledge to understand that it DOES easily keep up with most recent games, although it has a some trouble with very recent games like Bioshock Infinite and FEAR3 (I'm talking about MAX Settings). You should also be in position to realise that it has absolutely no hope of coping with upcoming games. ]

Finally,if you've been keeping yourselves updated about new games etc,you should know that this next console war is going to be a prety intense one.Great games have been revealed as exclusives and this makes choosing which consoles you get much harder. For those of you who plan to get both;good for you if you can get it,but it's an expensive choice.

We all love video games, which is probably the reason we have joined GS...,right? Riiiight! We all understand that this is an expensive hobby and the choices that come with it,are hard to make.

I don't know about you (which is why we have comments :) ) but I think I'l .....wait till it's about Christmas time for the discounts for a new gen console....as for the PC....Well,I'll need some brains for this...I thinkI'll make a small upgrade soon and save for a better build in the future (that's AFTER Xmas).

Waiting to hear your opinions on all of this,

your friend,Nick!

* I said "Euros" because I live in the EU.Not sure about the price in dollars and was a bit lazy to convert.Sorry!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I wish for 2014 to be full of good moments for all of us! And,since we are on GS,we might as well wish for some good new games ;)

Hey everyone!! Missed me?

Hello there boys and girls! Yours truly is back...yup,I am. It's been a while but it looks like I am back into gaming...and to be honest, more than I ever was. This is monstly because I am waiting for the university to begin it's courses and while waiting, might as well play a game or two...or in my case...a lot more.

Anyways,I'll be making a review for PES 2013,so anyone interested should have a look at it.

BACK with a new review! : Ninja Gaiden 3

Feels like it's been forever, but I finally reviewed another game. This time it's Ninja Gaiden 3 for the PS3...First PS3 game review :) If you would like, please do read it and tell me your opinions. To say the least,I'm not impressed with the new game...

The big change : Xbox 360 gone...Bought a PS3 Super Slim.

Yup...my second 360 also got RROD...Instead of repairing it or getting a new one,I made the decision to leave Microsoft and the 360 behind me...Thus I bought a PS3 Super Slim..and to be honest,I don't regret it. I traded my entire 360 collection except for the DOA games, for a PS3 collection. So far the PS3 has proved to be pretty good...But to be honest,I miss my 360 collection. However I have no regrets. The PS3 has games that I like,I can play online for free and doesn't break down as easily as the 360 consoles do(the fat models at least)...So,wish me happy gaming hours...

Happy new year everyone!

I wish everybody a happy new year! From now on it's 2012,guys! I hope this year is full of awesomeness for everyone, and hopefully, better than last year as well! Also, happy new gaming experiences(well this IS gamespot,so I have to say this XD)

I wish all of you the best!

Oh yeah! Back with a review!

It's been a while since I reviewed a game in here...well,it's been a while since I've actually been on gamespot in general! So,anyway,I'm thinking about putting all I have to do in an order so that I can have enough free time, some of which will be spent here...

Anyway,I made this comeback with a little review for Devil May Cry 4 for the the XBOX 360.I've had this game for almost 3 years now and I haven't even reviewed it...so,now that I got the chance, here it is.

I'm leaving for holidays!

Alrighty boys and girls, today I'm leaving for holiday (tomorrow at dawn to be exact). So,I'll not be on gamespot for at least 10 days or so. Wish me good holidays XD

See ya all when I'm back! Have fun till then!

My fav game ever!I can't believe it's over...

I feel so sad right now... I've spent over 50 hours of gaming playing The Legend Of Dragoon for PSX...It's honestly the BEST game I've played so far...if I made a "my top 10 fav games" list, this would be number 1. The story was so mοving and awesome, and the bad guy's plan was so complicated and all that.Man,I loved this game more than ANY other game I've played.Thank god I didn't cry (because I almost did) while the ending was playing...

And what's this...Gamespot gave the game a 6.4 ??? C'mon,it deserves a MUCH higher score than that. But that's just me.I'll review it tomorrow,or the day after tomorrow before I leave for holidays.
